    • Making Nerikomi Plates...
    Nerikomi is a Japanese pottery technique of combining several colors of clay to create a patterned base by wedging or assembling. It is also called marbling in common pottery. This time, I captured making a plate with the Nerikomi technique, up to the process of forming.
    Made by Saori Matsushita (IG@saorimstoneware)
    This plate will now be available at Saltstone Ceramics, an esteemed ceramic gallery in Seattle!
    Moreover, I'll be conducting a Nerikomi plate workshop at their studio on April 29th.

      @saorimstoneware  Před rokem +2

      Nerikomi, Marbling, and Agateware are each approximate techniques. So yes, it can also be called marble technique.

      @@saorimstoneware Thanks, I've just read some books that it's one of the Nerikomi/ Agateware techniques, not the patterns ones. I'm going to do a workshop next month of that.
