I was blessed to see the man himself, Tony Williams, at the Great American Music Hall, on a beautiful yellow drum kit!
    Fantastic, great intimate venue 👍.

I saw this band with Carlos Santana as the special guest towards the end. At Yoshi's Jazz Club, in Oakland CA. I had dinner first, and so had advanced seating up front!
Just fantastic, all the musicians. Just happened to see two of my all-time favorite musicians, Carlos and Jack Bruce! Growing up learning bass and guitar, with Santana and Cream! It was unreal.
Went the next night too! Two sets a night! Then later at The Palace of Fine Arts in S.F. ,unbelievable......

Vernon Reid and John Medeski held their own well in this concert. Love the looseness of the feel but with the synchronicity that only master musicians can pull off. They really captured the vibe of the original band.

They got the right drummer for this tribute. Cindy Santana sounds very much like Tony Williams.

Excellent quality. And probably as close as you can get to the original band (even comprising one of them: basslegend Jack Bruce). Lifetime had a certain magic and some unique players in John McLaughlin and Khalid Yasin and I don't feel Vernon Reid and John Medeski quite can live up to them. But wonderful anyway.
