These new demon kids will kill their parent bro...don't get it twisted
He's 12 years old. Don't let him out of the house if he's running with the wrong crowd and you know about it. Turn him in to police if you know he's involved in crimes. Did anybody in this family call CPS or the police for help? He's dead because he wasn't parented and disciplined. If you want people 'held accountable', it starts at home.
When we were growing up, you had to be in the house by the time the street lights came on, and we didn't live in a crime-ridden area. Your parents required that they met every friend you hung around with, and usually knew who their parents were.
Your plan sounds wonderful but it's not as easy in real life as it is typing it on your keyboard...

Many folks don't want others telling them how to raise their kids. But sometimes, parents need to listen!

Real quick to say something right put the blame the parents right well guess what you broke up the black family home what do you expect to happen everybody don't realize something there's a big difference on how people in society is develop big difference in generations same old same blame the parents go to the root of the problem but I seriously doubt y'all really know what the root of the problem is don't want to talk about that right you're on the outside looking in but real quick to make comments right 🤔 how about you look at the full picture oh that's why you can't look at it cuz it's pretty ugly now easier to blame the parents 👍✅

Sad thing is when folks speak to people about their wayward children they become hostile and ask "how dare you tell me about my child" yet when that child grows to commit crimes or a victim of the life then societal conditions are blamed. However, things are just way different than when we 40 and over people were kids. We could have fights without getting killed after, we were disciplined by any adult and we never talked back, and we were held accountable and given tasks. I feel sorry for these kids that have no structure, no sense of community, and no respect taught for elders. Not saying all, but we are seeing too much violence and such with our babies. My mother single handedly raised 4 girls and 2 boys. She instilled fear in us at an early age. We had to play near our home, she monitors our friends and if we didn't abide by her rules she was on us like white on rice. During down time and summer vacation she kept us busy. She enrolled my brother in a boys choir that traveled to other cities. She forced us to get summer youth jobs. And every Saturday we had to get up early for Saturday clean up. My dad was not available due to psychiatric issues. I always said my mom should have written a book called "Mom Rules." My sister raised her 3 sons and my nephew using the son principles and they are all outstanding young men. So proud. We don't play with these kids. Now I have grands and we stay on top of them.
Your Mom is a treasure and it sounds as if you’re one too. I raised my daughter alone and that was tough, more than one child and you could and should write a book. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I was warned by so many folks how because I was solo, my child would be a criminal, turn out horrible, etc. Kids thrive on discipline and may resent you at the time but they always know they’re loved and you and your family are proof of that. Ok, where is the mother & father? Exactly. The fact that the grandmother has to do all the talking tells you everything. No discipline, no situational awareness like the lady that was interviewed and got her child out of the area. You will be recruited in those areas for a gang period. You have to have a plan. Unfortunately, many of these parents lived the same life and it's all good until one of their children are killed.
Your right....just add the rap culture doctrinal music and you see the whole picture.
Part of the problem is people having children with ABSOLUTELY NO PLAN as u mentioned. It's easier 2 blame other children when u know ur child is a follower than 2 find programs 2 put these boys n2 that will take up their time from being outside n the streets. Grandma talks tough, but has no control. My heart still goes out 2 her bc of her loss. Blaming the mayor is senseless considering guns have been a problem b4 Brandon was mayor & b4 he was born. Lack of accountability & waiting on the system 2 do something will continue 2 b the downfall of some families n neighborhoods like these. I wonder where the father is.

Grandma tried to step in for the bad parenting from her children parenting. They did not step up to firmly being a parent. This is the worst generation curse, for her sacrifices to her own children. It is hard to raise a child. You have to be strong , and it is hard. Heaven Help Us All🙏🏾🙌🏾💯
It was never her responsibility to raise him to begin with

I have absolutely no sympathy for him or his family. Little criminal would have grown up to be a big one. They had warnings of criminal behavior.

I send my prayers and condolences to this Grandmother for being so open and honest. Just from how she spoke I feel that she tried her best to warn her grandson about the possible consequences of his bad decisions. What's also true is that once these kids get caught up in many instances they can't get out just because they want to. Praying for the city and for all the young people that they can be brave enough to not get caught up.

Omg stop blaming every one else...Jaylen knew wat being in the streets would do...at 12yrs old ther nothing to discuss it's the parents fault

My Deepest Condolences To The Family Of This Younster. From Carolyn
People often claim that their child is running with the wrong crowd, not realizing, their child IS THE WRONG CROWD. I feel bad for this family because I agree with the grandmother, adult were taking advantage of this 12 year old, even if he didn’t realize it. They use them like child soldiers. I’m not sure what was going on with the parents that allowed him to be outside while on house arrest, but this story is sad from every angle.
🙄who cares
@@missmorena1049 that's the problem because nobody does.
I agree, folks say kids are easy to manipulate, ok why didn’t you manipulate them, put the fear of god in him, “ If you don’t raise your kids, the streets will”. I moved away from my city years probably decades ago, but my family was still there. Now, my grown children, see all their cousins either dying or going to jail. My 36-year-old son called me one day and said Mom, thank you, and I said Son for what and he said because all three of us Are sitting in our living rooms at home watching TV while our cousins are out looking for the people that shot one of my other cousins. He said, we could be riding in that car. And at that moment, I knew that he realized all his life what I was doing.

OMG. I honestly cannot tolerate people like this grandmother. Accountability is the FURTHEST thing from these type of people's mind!!! I do to to a certain degree. But he was 12. You can't blame the older people. You take responsibility. Nobody made him do anything. And he was on the box🤔 And I was told by a person that know them that they had family that live in another state that he could have been sent to and his peoples said ain't nobody going run him away from here 😢😢Is it running him away from here or getting him out of Baltimore to at least give him a chance at a better life. It was probably a family member that was strict and he didn't want to go so they let him make the decision. I pray he would have just went instead of being where he is😢

She told part of the truth, but also deflected. It sounds like they r all products of their environment. I came from the projects too, but we had structure. Some things were not an option. Some parents & grandparents talk tough, but have no control over their children.
I remember a neighbor telling my mother I cut after school program. I got my behind handed 2 me. The same lady who told on me had pregnant teenaged daughter's & granddaughters, sons n prison & an out of control household. She got me n trouble, but her household was doing the most.
Props to granny for keeping it real!

Keeping it real? She blamed the guns. She blamed everyone except the parents who let this kid, obviously, hang out with the wrong crowd. The granny looked and sounded ignorant. No accountability, just pointing fingers at others. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault. Always. Section 8 mindset, of course. Someone else did it, not me ........

Sad, I remember being 12 the older guys would chase me home not wanting me to hang with them. I feel for these kids and the temptations they have to deal with. Everything starts at home.
I got beat up by the older kids because I was acting like a bully in elementary school. I deserved it. I stopped being a bully. Only took a couple of punches.
I use to hang in the projects till 1-2am when I was 12 till one of the older guys walked up to me and said go home. He said you can chill down here during the day but its too late for my lil ass to be out there. He probably saved my life.

Oh Ms. Gloria this hits home, I was a troubled youth due to things like domestic violence, sexual abuse. It was rough I didn’t graduate high school later, I did a lot of things to survive. Now my mom was there but because of the dysfunction she had brought into my and my siblings life there was no good communication as I began to get older and could see her issues and mistakes as well as my own. I had my son when I was twenty-five it wasn’t until then that I really started getting myself together, I still made mistakes like in picking his father, but if you really knew my circumstances you’d understand. I ended up being the best mom I could be, raised three boys. My step-son, my nephew and my baby boy. I did my best I promise you, I struggled to be a good mother i had days where I even had to take my son to work and school. I did many things for my son that my mother never was able to do for me, but out of everything I did I couldn’t keep him from the street😢😢😢😢😢😢. His father was never really in the picture, nor his fathers family, I made sure he graduated, had him in college. Unfortunately, the lessons I taught him about street life, he didn’t believe maybe because I’m a woman I don’t know. Shortly after his high school graduation, a couple of years he was put into a back against the wall kind of situation. He is now currently incarcerated, it will be a long time. But in this midst of our tribulations and trail God was still good and blessed him with a daughter. I never knew my father, didn’t meet him until I was 45, my son’s father even with all my son’s trouble still not in his life. Even if it’s behind from behind bars we will break the curse of the fatherless. I wish he had listened to me, he does to. I never wanted this for my son, Ms. Gloria. Sometimes I blame myself, many things I taught him were wrong, but I taught him what was taught to me. I thank God everyday for my granddaughter, and I pray that I can help raise her better than my mother did with me and I with her father. I happy to say she love her dad, and he love her. It’s my goal that she always knows that regardless to his absence, that she knows we as a family love her and will always be there for her. I am where you have been, pray my strength, days like today the weight of my circumstances are weighing me down. God bless you and yours
@@biaccagreen7157 Thank you Ms Green for responding, it sounds similar to a lot of families as well as mine. It’s so hard to raise children without any kind of support from the fathers, but his family are not helping when he’s in jail or just absent. It was a long struggle, but I’m so glad that I can dust my shoulders off, I made it through. Now I look back with no regrets, I’m a firm believer that everything happened for a reason. You’ll be fine as long as you’re trying and your doing right by your family. You still have so much to be grateful for. I’m gonna pray for y’all and I’m hoping GOD continues to bless you and your family. We are so strong as women, Hod is not gonna give us to much to handle, so you hang in there. I commend this news channel in Baltimore for covering this issue on children getting involved with older people in the streets who are coercing them into a life of criminal activity in the streets.
I feel that grandmother's pain because I too lost my 16 year old grandson last year to the same thing.
He was shot three times and died on the westside of Cleveland Ohio from following someone older than him throughout the streets of Cleveland Ohio.
To this day, my daughter visits his grave site everyday. Just feeling her pain and anguish is overwhelming.
Although he has a lot of friends and family who attended, his funeral, I still felt that the Mayor of Cleveland should have attended to show not only his respect and condolences for one of our fallen children but to also address this issue on the gun violence that is taken over our City and the active roll it is playing in killing our children.
I too will never again get to tell my grandson that I love him, or to give him a hug, to watch him grow, or walk across the stage at his highschool graduation, to see him at his athletic peak in swimming and basketball or achieve goals that he set for himself,or to see that smile on his face as he gives his mom that warm and loving hug that they shared as mother and son...
I only pray that God watches over all families on this earth. keep them safe because the young folks of today will one day become the adults of our future...
All parents are fighting for their kids, not just single parents' grandparents, etc. My heartfelt condolences for his family. 😢
If all were fighting we wouldn't have this problem.

Accountability starts at home. Sorry for the loss of this young soul but there are lessons that need to be learned at home. If there is no one to guide at home, the streets will definitely do it for you. We can demonize those in government but it starts in the community. Communities are capable to drive change, they just need to be willing to fight the good fight. One parent who left the city said she tried getting in contact with a few of the parents of these troubled kids but the parents weren't interested.
You said a word ! This crime in the black community is our mess to clean up!
You live in the hood?
It wasnt a loss, society gaines everytime a carjacker gangbanger gets his just reward.
