      It's pretty crazy that we can HEAR Barnum and well as SEE Barnum in this video. I wonder if he ever expected that kind of future.

      @@BarnumMuseum There might not be anyone who was born earlier whose voice has been preserved. So he might have that little factoid to add to his legacy.

    Too bad there are no recordings of Jenny Lind but it's good that he captured this and we have something.

      How amazing it would be to have Jenny Lind's voice, I agree. She was right on the edge of recorded sound, so truly a shame. Thanks for sharing!

    i wonder if this is how he really spoke or did he change his pitch for the phonograph. they didnt handle bass tones very well.
