FYI, the villagers do display the gift in there tent. You have to re-enter the tent after giving it to them. I have had them comment on having customized it before as well.

Not in my case, for some reason they don't ask me who I want to move out, they just say "is sad, there is no room" :(

@@SlimeKing5788 if you have 10 villagers you need kick one out or if you have less then 10 villagers you need to buy a plot of land from Tom nook for 10,000 bells

Oh my gosh you're the only person to mention if the villager you're kicking out will be in boxes using amiibo. I'm so happy that's the case because I'm trying to get one villager to move out to my second switch. Thank you. I'm so happy!
I have this very annoying problem where no matter how many times I invite my villager (in this case Fauna) she will call Resident Services and will not suggest moving out another villager, how do I fix this???

I had the same problem where they keep saying “If only there was an empty plot, I’d love to move here”- but turned out you have to go to Tom Nook, ask about infrastructure and then buy a new plot then it works!

This really helped a lot but the villager I want to get didn’t say anything about replacing a villager with him. I tried several times but he kept on saying there wasn’t any more space for him to move in. Is this normal?...
i had the same issue im so confused!
I know this is super late, but I had the same problem. It meant that I could still buy one more plot of land. At the time, i only had NINE villagers, but I could really have ten. So to get another plot, go to Tom nook and just poke around on the settings until you see “buy a plot of land” or something like that. Then, you have a space for your villager, and they can move into your island.

this is very helpful esp. coz my marshal and lolly amiibo cards just arrived. the scanning of cards is somehow stressful coz we have to scan it each day. i thought the villager would stay at the campsite. thank you for this!

Ok I’m having a problem with mine, I’m trying to kick out anchovy by using Julian’s amiibo to scan and then have him move in but he’s saying that there needs to be an open plot, can someone comment further on this cause I don’t know if it’s like an update or something

Thanks, I was confused at first on how to move in Rilla. New Leaf had it SOOO simple, you could move in a villager & kick out one's you didn't want, without having to do the chore of making DIY's.
I just started getting amiibo cards. So far, I have a few of my dreamies. I got Marcie (had her in New Leaf and loved her.), Tia (had her too and loved her) and Diana (never had her). I really want Gala, Rod and Sally (had them in New Leaf too. And Loved them). I’d also really love Bones and Fauna. Too many dreamies!!
What happens if you have the campsite but still no option to use an amiibo card?!

My villager said they contacted resident services and it's a total downer and it won't work out. They said nothing about replacing a villager and I don't know what to do! It's been three days and I'm getting impatient. I thought this video would help. Does anyone have any tips??
Unfortunately the same thing happened to me about Ankha, I had no plot open and I did all the 3 DIYs she wanted me to do. But when I asked, all she said is that she’s sad she can’t move in my island and said “surely some plot will open up?” But she never gave me the option to remove a villager from my island
@@sofianasr12 I think that it's because you can buy land from Tom nook and she will move there. (I just found this out. The comment was posted a while ago) so try that.
@@sofianasr12 When I Talked To Isabelle, I Told Her About Naomi Being Rude, But When You Meet A Villager At The Campsite, And Make Him Move In, The Villager Will Tell You That Resident Service Told Him About Naomi Moving Out, Maybe Do That?
It’s weird how amiibo cards can be a blessing and a curse but honestly I don’t mind waiting for 2 whole days or practically 3 I guess until I could get someone to want to move in
If you time travel forward, get the villager to move in and go back to current time and date, will the new villager still be there?

Been looking for villagers i'd love to have on my island, the game gave me reneigh, she's alright. and iggly, wich, i know they don't mix to well, but they're doing alright atm. (also way easier to make iggly happy with stuff)
already love this game, its relaxing, i can do my daily chorus get some stuff, and log off. well.. .that's all i can do for now.

fun fact, sometimes they do display them! i got one of the amibos a guitar since they asked for it and i saw they placed it in there tent. Same thing goes for you regular villagers. I got one of them some type of cup i don't remember what if was called but i saw he placed it on his floor in his house :)

I just scanned in Yuka. She is my last koala to obtain. Once she’s moved in, all my villagers will be koalas.
