I used to struggle with the Thunderstruck riff and kept brute-forcing my way into playing it with "proper" technique. Only recently did I finally figure out what was holding me back. And no, it wasn't Obi-Wan. It was the amount of pick material I was attacking the string with. As it turns out, I got best results by using the very tip of the pick. #thatswhatshesaid

What helps me is starting on an uppick because then I know that when my right hand presses down, my left hand picks downward
legato is easy for me (im acoustic (i know that sucks)) but my teacher said i should pick it completely to improve even more. and i find that very hard. good tutorial tho. ill be able to use a e guitar every 2nd weekend cuz my dad has one, but at hoime i only have an acoustic
