Yes, In the Pokémon Fire Red Dex entries says that this Pokémon is considered the "Bomb Ball".
A better name than Electrode tbh!
ngl in my first nuzlocke of leaf green that I did as a kid I name my electrode boomball because it looks like a pokeball and goes BOOM.
As a person born and raised in Japan, I always liked the English names better. They are much more creative than the Japanese names.

Another fact: Deino's evolutionary line (English) is built around the first three German numbers: DEINo, ZWEIlous and HyDREIgon. Strangly they felt the need to choose different names in German. The German names are based on Spanish numbers instead

I actually have German pokemon cards, Here's some funny names i could find;
Flaaffy's German name is Waaty Voltorb's german name is Voltobal (Electrode's is Lektrobal) Shellder's is Muschas,
and those were all the funny ones I could find , some more funny than others

I'm french, and the only french name you perfectly nailed is Akwakwak. There are a few common names tho (mainly legendaries), an example being Gardevoir.

I am German, and since my best friend lived in Heidelberg for a while, I visited him there, of course. It was funny, that I instantly recognized the place. But even more fun was listening to your pronounciations. As german most names you mentioned didn't ring weird to me until you said them with an english accent. And some others were actually pronounced very well. Keep making such great videos.

This was a great, unique video with the awesome German scenery in the background. I can imagine that this montage of clips would have taken a long time to merge. It was cool how his last Pokemon name was said at the end of his journey. Real creativity, awesome video, deserves more views.

Thanks for making this video and hopefully inspiring players to explore Pokemon in other languages! I was overjoyed when I found out you could play X/Y and ORAS in several languages (I've played through in French; tried and failed in German, lol), and I always encourage language-learning Pokéfans to try it as well (if they're willing to start a new file, of course).
Other fun French names: Ectoplasma (Gengar), Rondoudou (Jigglypuff), Psykokwak (Psyduck), Otaria (Seel), Brouhabam (Exploud), Dynavolt (Eletrike), Corboss (Honchkrow).
"Vulgina" is most likely pronounced with a hard "g" sound, as it's a Japanese portmanteau of the words "vulture" and "regina," the latter being a Latin word meaning "queen." #TheMoreYouKnow
While you may be correct, pronouncing it how I did makes it far more funny XD
