The Rose fandom name : Black Rose
The Rose is a band which is composed of four members :
1. Hajoon (Vocalist, Drummer and Rapper).
2. Woosung (Vocalist, (Electric) Guitarist and Leader).
3. Jaehyeong (Vocalist, Maknae, Visual and Bassist)
4. Dojoon ((Acoustic) Guitarist, Vocalist and Keyboardist)
They debuted in 2017 with their 'Sorry' Single.
Bonus since in The Englishman’s video they used their English names
Woosung -> Sammy
Do Joon -> Leo
Ha Joon -> Dylan
Jaehyeong -> Jeff
Another reactor pointed out the drums, and now I realize Hajoon was doing a lot of the heavy lifting in this song. Slay Hajoon, slay!
You should totally go to their concert - ALL of their songs are so good!!! I just got introduced to Woosung on Suga's song "Snooze" and have been down the rabbit hole ever since. Obsessed.

I knew you'd love the kpop band side of things since you love rock, & you should definitely check out more, even if it's just on your own without doing reactions to it, there's so much good band music since FTIsland, my ult kpop band, debuted in 2007 as the 1st band made specifically for the kpop market

I remember when you guys did your top20 of 2022 reviews I thought to myself "it must be an oversight that non of you are mentioning their Heal-album?!", and I guess now I know, you actually never listened to it. So if I were you I would RUN to it! It was without doubt my album of the year! I really can't explain to you how good it is!
I loved Back To Me in an instant. It just hits all the marks of a good song, great vocals, great music - it's nostalgic and familier with the pop-punk sound, but without being stale or predictable. I wasn't crazy about Alive at first listen. I'm kinda a purist when it comes to music, so I'm not a huge fan of effects on mics and things like that. Also musically it was all over the place, so I couldn't really settle on a mindset of how it made me feel. But it has grown on me, the first half I really like - the second half I'm still getting used to.
I don't have their names down yet either. But tbh I kinda love not knowing. It feels so pure to me, like no biases or anything like that, just a pure love for the music. At some point I should learn them though, it's also a sign of respect for the artist. But for now it feels like a incognito no name garage band to me, and I like that old school feeling.

Alive gives off Robert Palmer and Peter Gabriel vibes. And also, the first time I heard Alive I was exactly the same when they start slamming on the guitars and doing that whahehahwhah thing lol. I still can’t even word!!!

Yes, all English for the two new songs, previously The Rose has a healthy dose of Eng and Kor, but I feel you! When I understand words and I'm like wait...did I understand that or was it in English? 🤣
So since you're thinking of going to a concert, here are the members names, in a way to make it easier to remember:
Hajoon - Drums. He does do background vocals and occasionally raps as well.
Dojoon - Guitar, the other main vocal, he also does keyboard/piano (they are usually placed near him in MVs)
Jaehyeong - Bassist, also does backup vocals and HAWT AF...they are all hot tho, not sure if that helps.
Woosung - Duh, main vocal, guitar
And although I know you probably have a billion other things to do, please check out some other The Rose vids! Would love to see your reaction, but if you just do it on your own time, that's cool too.
Edit: OH, OH, OH!!! I forgot! They have another album coming after this, since these two songs are technically a "single". That will be near the end of September, called Dual. There will be another MV on 8/25 as well! So prepare yourself!
I really enjoyed your reaction. The Rose is my new binge playlist and I agree with others - you should definitely listen/watch songs from last year's album Heal. One commenter (@Einataharon) mentioned 80's influence of Depeche Mode and Duran Duran. I also was thinking about INXS after you brought up 80's potential influence.

I missed seeing them in concert last year, but not this time!!! October concert baby!!! Did you really not hear their Heal album from last year? That was an amazing comeback. Happy they are all done with the military and they are now under their own label
