@nnr3 The generation in this video has a 2.5 liter Inline-4 and is referred to as the E30. The two bodystyles after this, namely the E36 and E46 had an inline 6. The current generation called the E92 has a V8.

These cars are n/a yes.
They usualy but big weber carburators on these cars. I think off 50-54 mm for this type of race cars.
And that is the deep sound they producing.

@nnr3 all e30's m3's came with the 4 cylinder s14 engine the first had between 195-200hp including the evo1 which i have the evo2 had 220hp but with more torque even more than the later more powerful sports evo with 2.5ltr engine good for 238bhp,these cars loved to rev and boy do they feel good and handle in race trim they produced 295-320bhp @8-95000rpm. NB they were race cars 1st and foremost and later adapted for the road something all m'3's after cannot or never claim.

The E30 M3's were a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder engine except for the E30 M3 sport evo, which was a 2.5 litre straight 6.
i still remember 20 years ago in macau GP, team BMW lost 1.5 lap behind a nissan GTR R32

No this is the DTM e30 M3 with the s14 2.3L 16v inline 4 ... i don't know how many hp it puts out, but if it is to Group A specifications it could be around 320hp ..

Civics sound like an E30 M3, only when they hit VTEC, but BMW is still badass, many japanese cars like civic VTi, Corolla XRS will only be similar in sound with this M3

@jackmanstarr your wrong it comes with a 4 straight cylinder engine, the only bmw engine with more 1.8 liters and only 4 cylinders
@patricius777 there would be turbo lag. There are so few naturally aspirated performace 4 bangers out there. Leave it be, for the sake of this awesome car.

No Vanos, just pure Race Engine
VANOS is more of VVT than VTEC, Valvetronic is similar to VTEC but far more advanced

@nnr3 only e36 and e46 were 6 cylinders, the e30 was a 4 and the e90/91/92/93 is a v8
Apologies the sport evo was still a 4 cylinder but engine size up to 2.5 from 2.3.

Como és portugues eu digo-te. O 1º é um 2.5 directo de DTM. Todo o carro o mostra inclusive o som do motor e se reparares o aperto rapido das jantes. o segundo basta o som para diferenciar. e o terceiro será um m3 evolution pois o aperto das jantes é da furação quotidiana. A menos claro que haja swap de motores
