My favorite vampire has always been Gifted Aetherborn. He can’t do any of the crazy op stuff the creatures on this list can, but he’s just an incredibly solid 2 drop at 2/3 with deathtouch and lifelink
Kalitas is simply in the #1 spot because he T-posed for dominance!

Ahh Adanto Vanguard, this card reinforces the fact that winning with 1 life is the same as winning with 20 life.
It's also a nightmare to use against burn decks. Turn all my Shocks into Super Lightning Bolts!

Sadly, I won't - not every video anyway. Did it special for this month but can't afford to pay the animator/editor who did these on an every video kind of basis. He does a lot of hard work!
Just some food for thought- what about a maybe slightly shorter one with more general channel themes ( a la birds or blue magic or whatever you think best represents the channel) that you just run as your prevideoo hype. I know you have a fairly subtle one already (and obviously I’m not suggesting Christmas themes lol) but a mix between the Halloween animations and what you ran already before Halloween would really go a long way towards increasing your market appeal. It also shows advertisers your serious about content, not that you weren’t before.
I dunno just something to think about. I love your professionalisms and even if you don’t make any changes just want you to know I love your dedication and the fact that you actually payed an animator for the 40 seconds before Halloween ep is awesome.

Menace
Lifelink
Flying
Death touch
Indestructible (depends)
Plus counter
And seen some vamps that are u/b have hexproof.
Kalitas is going in my vampire tribal and zombie tribal for pioneer.
Olivia has saved my freaking life so many times in Commander.

Nighthawk was always a favorite of mine; kind of expected to see Nightveil Predator, but I guess it wasn't much of a Dimir staple, and most Esper control decks had better finishers available...
Can't wait to see what ya'll got cooked up for the Thanksgiving opening! Pilgrims and turkeys dancing or something, I'm sure.

Yeah, at 3am wrapping on this I thought it would be funny to throw off the smart aleks that always have to point out that it looks like she has a "third leg" so to speak and gaslight them a little.
Kalitas, Neonate and such all have potential in pioneer.
Especially Kalitas - card was a force in standard and GBx control decks are all over the place.
Fact
My first run with my Olivia led vamp tribal edh was against Elesh Norn and Yuriko, Tiger's Shadow. Yuriko player looks over my board on turn 4 and says "you aren't a threat" and attacks Elesh Norn. A couple turns later, I stole Elesh Norn, and kept stealing that card until I was knocked out. I think the cmc on Norn at that point was 15. She'll always be my number 1
I thought Serra Angel was the only sexualized OG MTG flyer, but damnit if that animation at the end didn't add a whole new dimension to Sengir Vampire too ...
Old Kleetus could end up adding to his score in Pioneer in the near future

Vampire nighthawk is one of my favorite black uncommons of all time.
So I have a modern deck that does graveyard play and thought I'd share it given it's also Vamps, the primary goal with it is graveyard play and life gain, the main engine is the graveyard play which includes at minimum, Bishop of rebirth, which recasts a creature from my graveyard upon attack, it is a 3/4 vigilance white vampire for five mana, two whites amongst the five. Then I use Indulgent aristocrat, a 1/1 lifelink 1 black mana card, that I can sack creatures to for 2 mana, and I put a +1/+1 counter on all my vampires, then I do cordial vampire, which is a 1/1 2 black mana card that when a creature dies, I put a +1/+1 counter on all my vampires, that is the primary function of the engine, sack indulgent to himself, swing with bishop, sack indulgent again as he comes back, and on the side I use mavrein fein, who whenever a non token vampire of mine attacks, put a 1/1 vampire lifelink token onto the field. Prefer him to be out but he is not required. For lifelink, I use the planeswalker Sorin Vengeful blood. Hope this helps any vampire enthusiasts out, it's my favorite deck and I'd love to see it become a bit more popular.
By the way, my deck is also on tapped out and is also under 30 bucks if anyone wants to look at what might go along with it. It's called VDTMB (Vampires Drink Too Much Blood.)
That Bishop-Indulgent-Cordial combo is beautifully disgusting! When I get some spare cash to tune up my existing BW Vampire deck, I'll be sure to look your deck list up, thanks in advance :)
@@marvthereddevil5418 I've been looking at ways to modify it, friend of mine mentioned Dictate of Erebos, and although it's expensive on its own, even if I throw it in, the deck still overall is a budget deck in comparison to most modern decks. Dictate would make it an even nastier deck.

Why did Kalitas bring up Looting and Hogaak? Pretty sure Dredge, Phoenix, Bridgevine, and Hogaak decks didn’t run it, though maybe some Mardu Pyromancer builds did.

Know you're probably busy with busting out multiple videos a week but one thing I'd really love to see on your channel is some stuff about Pioneer, most other channels I've seen covering it arent really that explanitive and it's early enough into it you might even pick up some more viewers, I know that I'd definitely start watching a channel with good content talking about Pioneer but I cant find one.

Same here. As I see it in almost every black Commander deck that isn't non-vampire tribal, it seemed so normal for it to be on this list. But no, Commander and official tournament MTG seem to be two very different beasts.
EDH is a totally different format and has very little to do with these ratings

Too bad the spooky top 10 is ending for now. I was just going through my old cards, when my eye caught old Hypnotic Specter. I then checked the gatherer for specters and some of them looked really cool. If you look for some more spooky top 10 themes, specters might be a nice choice.
It is one I have considered several times, but there aren't ten that have been competitively viable. Maybe we will get a few more in the next year.

Yep, but pretty new, especially when this came out like a month ago. I am sure he will be on the list eventually.
ive seen a lot of vampire top tens(in search of the makings for a vampire tribal deck). i thought at one time that vampires sucked(no pun) and vampire tribal was not formidable. i later did my own research and found that the most powerful tribal vampires are not mentioned or are underrated. My vampire deck is one of my favorite decks to play and can beat any other tribal deck. i encourage any one to do you own research and develop a deck not based on any list. Sure look at some combos from deck lists but ignore the top tens. for example, nighthawk is one of the best 3 drop vampires(maybe even one of the best black creatures) ever printed. Vampires are very very powerful.

How about a top 10 worse 'investment' cards ? The ones whose avg tcg price dropped the most during a set time span. For example I remember Archangel Avacyn spiking at 47 bucks during standard and now it's a 6 bucks card
It isn't surprising that Avacyn dropped though. She was dominant in Standard, and barely played in Modern. It might be a big dip, but I think dips that were unexpected make more sense.

They are. I think the reason hes noy is because hes just a little to slow for Legacy or Vintage. His best ability (eminence) is also useless. So although he's insane in Commader I think that's where he'll stay.

I actually do have some kids who watch these. Magic is played by kids too, you know.
