A very relaxing walk through, and infotainment at its best. Thanks for sharing and I am definitely more educated in this somewhat neglected area of JB...

I'm not much of a fragrance wearer but after visiting Floris in London and spending an hour there getting a full history and tour of the boutique, I love the 89 worn by Fleming and it has been the only one I use now. Plus, their shaving soap that comes in the wooden bowel is not only the best I have ever used, it lasted me for a full year! Great presentation guys and I imagine Ryan and his place must smell incredible!

Very fitting that I find this video after just a few weeks ago I started re-reading the novels again, and have since stumbled down the fragrance rabbit hole, after not having worn any since high school. I agree with your final statement. Floris. Clearly it could be considered canon, as the brand is named by Fleming himself. I recently bought a bottle to try, and I prefer No 89 for daily wear. Amazingly pleasant, refined, not overpowering. In the summertime for casual or outdoor activities I love the Limes. Got a 10ml one this past Christmas as a gift. Crisp citrus, that drops to a mellow musk as the day goes on. Very light. Considered unisex even. Perfect summertime scent. Both are eau de toilette vs eau de parfume so they are less expensive and less powerful which is nice if you're interested in a lighter weight scent. In my experience the No89 lasts 8+ hours even in hot weather however the Limes will only stick around for 6. 4ish hours if it's very hot outside. In conclusion, Floris has an almost 300 year pedigree, they were mentioned in the books, and definitely fit the bill for a discerning Englishman.

This is the best Bond video in a while! Awesome collab. Do more. You guys complement each other so well. When buying a suit for my wedding, I decided that I should buy a fragrance to remember the day, and I picked Tom Ford Oud Wood. Since then I’ve gone down a rabbit hole with Creed and it’s very hard to stop. I love thinking about what Bond would wear in the Bahamas or in Winter settings. I personally wear Creed Aventus daily. You should check it out. Awesome video. Cheers!

Very interesting video. Given that initial fragrence mentioned is Floris; that fougere type would be fitting. Given the era that novels took place, fragrences would have been what we call "grandpa" or barbershop type.
We might call them classically masculine fragrence. And a current rendition would be ones mentioned in this video, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille or the two Creed fragrences.
And i think that James Bond, the character, would gravitate towards a masculine, simple, clean (imo one of fresh and not shower gel) a little floral fragrence.
Given that you mentioned Daniel Craig's influence in use of Tom Ford, what would say Theo James would wear, if he was Bond?

I like the format, something different. Grey Vetiver - Eau de Parfum would be my pick for bond in a suit, it’s fresh and confident.

An intelligent pick! It's a more contemporary riff on Guerlain Vetiver, which has always felt to me like what Connery's Bond would have selected for himself.

Great video! You should try Brioni EDP (specially Intense). I always thought that it would be the fragance that James Bond would use 🔥.

What a brilliant idea for a video! Nice one, very informative. Ryan is so knowledgeable. And don't worry, you didn't sound like an idiot saying 'Tobacco Vanille', it's better than a lot of other english people I've heard speaking french. Just a tip, 'eau' is literally prononced like the letter 'O', and 'parfum'...I can't help you that, but you were close enough

Not as smooth as the Bond character in my opinion. Not very elegant too. Gentlemanly yes but not elegant.
