Recipe:
2 1/2 oz White rum
3/4 - 1 muddled lime
2 teaspoons Sugar
6 - 8 leaves of Mint

Couple of interesting points to improve.
The film looks like it gets this right, but in Cuba the Mojito is “a Tom Collins with Rum, lime and mint”
So the bartenders don’t muddle wedges, they just throw lime juice, sugar mint and rum in the glass, top with cubed ice, and then fill with soda.
You’ve got sort of nugget ice, which is fine.
Their method is loads faster and they can pump out dozens at a time. It’s also a more effervescent drink than the style with lots of crushed ice dilution.
Your version is really close to the genuine one, by way of your limitations, and it would spot on if you just used 3/4 ounce of lime juice rather than the wedges.

Ahh my 2nd favorite drink after the Pina Colada (which was JFK's favorite drink and we all know which spy JKF loved). And I like my mojitos sweeter. Ever had a watermelon mojito? It is outstanding.

I don’t know why people saying Mojito is drink for the girls , or Gay, like few times i ordered it, some random people sitting with me like "Oh you order girls drink or ahhhh Gayy" .. Im like damn i can’t enjoy a good drink ? Smh Anyway Bacardi Mojito with Lime is my top5 cocktails
