- How to make Butter Cookies?
This recipe yields 4O butter cookies. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown on the side. Baking time may vary depending on oven specifications.
Here's what you'll need:
1 cup salted butter 220g (softened) you can use unsalted butter and add ½ tsp of salt
¾ cup icing sugar (100g)
1 large egg 55g
2 tsp vanilla extract (10g)
2 cups all purpose flour (250g)

Made these cookies today. I somehow messed up because for some reason, the batter got too dry so piping it into a beautiful rosette was impossible. No worries, used my ice cream scoop and it didn’t affect the taste. My husband absolutely loved them. Thank you, Weng.

Thank you for this recipe. All I had was cake flour so I made it with that. Still tasted great. I also made them pink and I'm ombre purple and white. They were beautiful and delicious. I like that this cookie is not too sweet, even so I reduced it to 1/2 cup and the salt to 1/2 and that was good enough for me.

After piping, put in the fridge 30’ before baking to get the nice flower shape

Recipe tasted good, but I couldn't pipe it onto parchment paper. The dough would not stick to the paper when piped. Finally just used a large cookie scoop and made cookies that way. Any hints on how to properly pipe this dough? I used a large star-tip. Thank you

Eheh it was a lot of work but it was really good! But mine didn’t stay in place it dissolved down but I didn’t use a pipe cause I didn’t have one but it wouldn’t make a difference right? So it was yummy but it didn’t stay in place I wanted it crunchy and sweet :(
Maybe add another 1/4 cup of sugar and put it in the fridge for 15 minutes
@@gaming-weeb7412 if you will fridge it make sure it already in pieces because if you fridge it all together it will be hard to separate them because they will break like a dust.
@@gaming-weeb7412 and make sure to use powdered sugar instead of regular and if u can you can also add some cornstarch
