Sometimes parents don't like their kids going to these divisive and useless schools because we went to them. The zoning makes schools to complacent as well just assuming kids in the area have no choice but to go there. Schools are the problem, not the kids, they are such low quality compared to the education of our pasts. A lot of people were in trades and encouraged into apprenticeships and now it's encouraged for immigrants and not training our own people. Back in the day nzers were supported when they left school at 15 not that long ago and then low and behold the generations after have to stay at school to get into an institutions that puts kids into debt for thousands for a job they may not get while being treated like they aren't paying money and not being treated as adults and with respect and are indebting their children and people for their whole life. The options in schools and provided by govt are not respectful, not inclusive and not empowering to all NZers. Our education has fallen massively since our british ancestors, because the learning institutions are not being respected and run by those who are running them. These people care more about culture than learning and do not command respect because a lot of them are dumber than the students.

    Breath taking isn’t it
Labour rammed 5 waters bill through last night …
Last night in Parliament as Labour rammed 5 Waters bill through...Act and National opposed to no avail...this comment ;last night from Maureen Pugh highlights it...to quote...
National’s Maureen Pugh rounded out the criticism of some of the most egregious provisions in the Bill:
"But I want to turn the rest of my contribution to why I think this is dishonest, because this legislation contains two things that I want to raise tonight. One is about the exclusive ability for the iwi representatives to propose statements. Now, these statements are binding on those entities and we've heard about some of the caution that we have around that, because it is extending out into fresh water, it's extending out into the ocean.
I just want to read a part out of the Cabinet paper that Nanaia Mahuta had in June 2021. This wasn't made available to the public, by the way. ‘I see the [Te Mana o te Wai] statements as being holistic, enabling Māori to express a broad wellbeing approach consistent with a Te Ao Māori approach to such measures, including economic, cultural, social, and environmental expectations.’ She goes on to say, ‘Such statements could contain economic aspirations with respect to Māori enterprise and job creation, particularly-but not exclusively-in areas related to mātauranga Māori expertise.’ So, basically, what they are saying is that whatever the 1,200 iwi and hapū consider in their best interests and are deemed to be consistent with the view of mātauranga Māori, they will be locked into those entities and those statements are binding, and those for water services entities have to obey them.
But there's another little hidden part of this piece of legislation that needs a bit of airtime, and that is that not only are they going to seize the councils' bought and paid for infrastructure-three-waters infrastructure-but they're now also going after parks and reserves.…
So New Zealand has been duped into thinking that this has been all about clean water, when, in fact, we were between second and ninth in the world for top-quality water in this country, and, again, this is this typical Labour Government saying they've got a solution and they're now looking for a problem. But this is dishonest, and they have not had the gumption to be open with the people of New Zealand....."
    breathtaking isn't it !!

Good to see Winston. You could give these kids who commit ram raids a warm loving home money to spent and they would still do it. Once they have learned how to get notoriety for a deed thats bad...that becomes the new drug. Isolating, taking away privileges and earning them back will help some, boot camp removes them from their current environment group of friends and the inability to organize those crimes. The recipients of goods stolen during those raids should also be prosecuted. Q: how are you going to get kids to stay in school if everything they need isn't in that school...... Boot camp is a way of making them listen instead of being in a classroom. teacher's are not jailors or correction officers, they are there to teach kids, you know the forgotten ones who actually give a damn about their education Why should teachers waste time dealing with those disruptive people who will be gathering more recruits from that school. If boot camp is organised better than they used to be the success rate will be better. YES their Parents need to be involved in the boot camp process as well.
