Pac really the GOAT. He wasn’t even there and got credit for the memory. 😂
Penny Isaac he's okay...better emcees exist
D'Mario 2000 I guess te truth hurts lol what can I say
🤣🤣🤣👁
@@syedisamuddin7188 u lost your mind. Pac is the greatest along with Nas.
Pac was the greatest since he talked about what mattered in many of his songs
Now niggas starting to make vodka deals to destroy us nas one of them...
Seriously one of my favorite actors. Always had mad respect for Wood Harris!
Bro for real, He's my favorite too. Remember that Twilight Zone episode when he was playing a rapper? Shit was crazy. This nigga got some good shit on his resume.
King Savage nigga shut up, you sound like a little girl if he says that wood Harris is his favorite actor then let him rock, df wrong with you. You literally hating and bringing negative energy for no reason.
First of all King Savage I'm 31. I been watching this guy nearly all my life on Above The Rim in the early 90's, Paid and Full and watching The Wire when I was in High School and College, I even liked the Jimi Hendrix movie he did. I really wish he got more roles because the brother has a strong likability to him and nails every single hood role he plays! You don't know me! Check that negativity or go take a nap at your mama's house
That's right give it to my man Ace Boogie.
Cool as hell
He & Pac had GREAT chemistry on screen together, Birdie & Motaw was a dope duo in Above The Rim. 💯
Wood Harris is a legendary actor and Tupac is the Legendary king of Hip Hop. Above the Rim is a classic.
I love pac too but above the rim is not a classic lets not just throw that word out their. It was a ok movie the soundtrack is a classic I think that's what people remember the most about that movie
The soundtrack was on fire but I respectfully disagree John it is a classic sports movie. Bernie Mac and Tupac were great in that movie
@@raymondricksjr5026 when i think of classic movies menace to society, boyz in the hood, dead presidents, juice, love jones, Friday, the five heart beats to name a few come to mind I know its a black sports movie but it isn't a classic imo all the movies i just listed have unforgettable lines and scenes you'll never forget I can't even remember any lines from above the rim that were unforgettable. Like I said its a decent to good movie but not a classic cooli high was a classic the mac was a classic but not this movie
You make good points John but we both love Tupac Shakur the greatest rapper ever
@@raymondricksjr5026 that I definitely can agree with you on*GREATEST OF ALL TIME* 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
Wood harris a good actor tho
SUPER GANG * Dope actor fam
SUPER GANG agreed
Legend
SUPER GANG naw he better then good he GREAT cause he’s versatile
Facts
Wood Harris, Mekhi Phifer, Bokeem Woodbine, Khalil Kain, Vonte Sweet, Brandon Hammond, Tyrin Turner, and a whole lot more Underrated great actors..
Yes ❤❤😃😃👏👏🔥🔥
Don't forget Wood Harris has an older brother, also an actor. Steve Harris. He starred in The Practice as young lawyer, as a detective on a series Awake. He and Wood both have a Masters in Fine Arts.
I know exactly what he's talking about with the hats in Chicago.I'm from the Bronx. When I was 16 I spent the summer with my cousins in Chicago.I used to wear my hat backwards. My cousin warned me.." When we go to the park wear your hat to the front." My NY arrogance got the best of me..."Yo, I'm from NY I wear my hat anyway I want" I wasn't in the park 2 minutes and this guy rolled up on me....30 years later I STILL remember his EXACT words...he did some gang hand signs and said to me " Who do you represent?" I looked at him like he was crazy, my cousin snatched the hat off my head and said to the guy" He's not from around here"...It was then that I realized...This gang shit is REAL!
patrick y Facts...me too! I went to the Chi as Bronx dude a little over 10 yrs ago and wore my hat tilted to the right side sort of like T.I. used to wear his. I remember one of my cousin’s friends mentioned the way my hat was, when my cousin intervened and told him I was good on that side (West side). Chicago reminded me of NY in a lot of ways other than that!
Jamal Vines It could've really went wrong if I was alone
patrick y i was out there in 2004. Im from Brooklyn but i already knew about the hats. The one thing he said is true New York city wasn't on that gang shit since 79
Jamal Vines that wasn't a gang.
Jamal Vines The thing is in NY you can wear anything or any how you like.We didn't have anyone telling us how to wear your hat or what colors.Way back when there was the Black Spades and other gangs they had "uniforms" leather vests or sleeveless denim jackets with the gang name on the back.
I loved this guy in The Wire! Whenever I see Wood Harris, his characters seem so real it’s like he is not really acting.
That and Paid in Full. So underrated.
*Wood Harris* is a national treasure.
You know you a damn good actor when you have an icon like *Idris Elba* impressed with your acting skills and actually looking up to you.
It’s crazy how Pac only spent a couple months on deathrow yet there’s soo many stories about him
2pac spent a year with Death Row not a couple months. A lot can happen in a year. And Wood Harris is telling a story about Pac before his Death Row days.
Warren L Well his friends said in interviews that he been out less than a year and most rappers these days are lazy Pac had energy and he always stayed Busy 💯
Warren L Pac still has lots of stories on him before his deathrow dats is what I’m saying
Warren L Not even a year. He was signed to Death Row in like October or November of 95 and got killed the next year in Spetember 96. That's actually crazy, he put in major work in such a short time.
He use to be with shock g n digital underground also as a background dancer
Man when he said he “was free” that shit real. Grew up around crips & bloods then moved to the rural south and realized I didn’t have worry about what color my clothes or hat was.
"Marlon did something extremely playful with the girl" LMAO😂😂😂
Brandon Brown Lol it's funny cause u can only imagine what the hell he did
candy girlll He can't even remember it probably was something u don't even wanna to remember
Brandon Brown haha you can tell he was about to reveal it and kinda u-turned
Brandon Brown LOL Yooo! Dude probably was on some other LOL
Fr 😂😂😂
Wood is ageless and so unique and intellectual. Mad underrated.
He talking about above the rim that movie was dope💯
Manny Manuel duhhhhhh
George Toney LOL 💀💀😂
😂😂
I could chop it up wit Wood all day he's a real cool humble dude...stay up big bro!!
2pac is a legend point blank
Damn 2Pac had the girls going crazy for him.
King Savage how dare u disrespect that vegeta profile pic popping shit lol
+King Savage ;O)
King Savage no Vegeta would love 2pac and respect him. Cmon prince u know better. Dont disrespect the Don.
King Savage Shut up you just mad
King Savage Bitch shut up!!! Everyone knows that girl was lying she can’t even look at the interviewer directly in the eye when he asked her what happen!!! No matter what you say about Pac he’s way more important and relevant than you’ll ever be!!! So keep on hating!!!
All that time didn't know he was from Chicago.I always liked his acting, now I respect him even more he from my city.
Lou Slugga bruh that revelation made a lot of sense how he moved and acted
Lou Slugga fuck Chicago
"When Tongue Twista was skinny with a kufi on." Whoa. That's deep.
Wood Harris has always been one of my favorite actors. He's really laid back and humble from what I can tell.
Always had a crush on Wood Harris. Especially when he portrayed Jimi Hendricks.. ❤❤❤
Wood Harris, educated. Got BA & MBA. His big bro Steve Harris a actor too! Seasoned individuals
I like Steve Harris too. Sugar hill with wesley snipes
@@Veteran0831 Word!
Leon and the one from menace 2 society. That was like you know you done fucked up right?
Yeah, shouts out to Wood Harris. He definitely held it down in " Remember the Titans
Larenz Tate and Wood Harris are from Chicago???. They some great actors cuz I thought they were from NY and L.A. Wood Harris did Above the Rim{Harlem} and Paid In Full{Harlem}. Larenz Tate{O Dog} did Menace 2 Society{LA} and that TV show South Central{LA}.
Larenz Tate grew up up half his life in L.A. though. He moved there in elementary or early middle school.
Yeah I'm from chicago and a lot of ppl don't remember that show "South Central", it was a great show but it got cancelled. Then it got picked up and turned into Moesha lol. They just flipped it from a girl to a boy, with her single father instead of mother, & a little brother instead of a sister. They even kept Hakim as the neighbor/friend.
Both are dark comedy so I can see the similarity. Parkers was a spin off from Moesha. The Parkers was the best out of the three.
South Central was to real
4 wight @merica
if they had called it Watts
they would have boycotted 😂
Yes I loved South Central
@3:57 As a Chicagoan, that is 💯‼️
I would go to NYC back then and feel relieved to not always be on guard about the way I wore my hat. 😆😆
Ace Boogie!
John Miles a boogie
Damn good interview
I always will root for Wood Harris
A living legend.
They Lucky they dodged that she woulda been popping up on some #metoo shit right now
i was thinking the same thing
First thing that ran across my mind as he was telling the story. Better hope she don't watch this and get the idea.
SSK Music Beats real shit
Chicago produce a lot of stars from basketball and comedy and acting salute💯💯💯💯
Wood Harris, Edward Norton, Denzel, Daniel Day Lewis, DeNiro, Some of my favorite actors, movies and shows I can watch over and over
Yea and if they would have sex'd her she would have been bringing them up on charges 20 something years later for rape..
Tariq Ali Al Maliki #metoo
I wish we can get more movies with roles with Wood Harris, he's a great and phenomenal talent.
He has mad acting skills, yeah!; but, everyone fails to recognize his education pedigree: Northern Illinois University (BA)
& New York University (MFA). Black man has some knowledge. How about that?!
I didn't know that...
Most black actors are highly educated from the best universities.
@@willawentertainment I wouldn't say 'most' Black actors went to the 'best' universities. That's opinion but some great actors came up through being trained on stage which is one of the best educational platforms for acting. Some like Wood Harris had the skill & ooportunity to go to NI and & NYU but take Lakeith Stansfield (Atlanta, Sorry to Bother You, Knives Out, Get Out, etc.) had no college drama education but trained as a youth and self-study.
@@willawentertainment ...and Tupac recieved all his dramatic training in Baltimore's school of the arts, no college classes at all.
Wood Harris is one of the OG's man. Respect to him.
he still look good. better with age. awsome actor.
You look good to me

For that to be his first movie, homie killed dat role! Been one of my favorite actors since.
This dude should be doing big movies
Wow. I didn’t know Wood Harris went to NYU. He was a smart young man.
My favorite actor all time LEGEND 💯💪
Just another day. Wood Harris got some mic skills too
Damn somebody's mama now lol
Lol
😂😂😂😂
Anyone else notice that him and Marlon smoking on his stash even tho he wasn't there. And that were relatively unknown but could casually do that. That's proof that Pac was a cool dude if u were cool with him
They were cool with Pac
I'm from chicago, I understand what he talking about. I moved to Philly and was like this is cool
Im from philly originally i moved to richmond 20 yrs ago ... In philly we had drug gangs not bangin per say no broke off hats or colors
beautiful piece - salute to Wood Harris I recall seeing him on stage at a NuYorican Poets Cafe put fugeo on the mic that night ,mad respect on his artistry .. d d dope

Great interview!
Wow never knew he was in to being an Mc. Mad respect for him as a great actor
"You can wear your hat any way you want?" That statement says so much more than the words
And today that same girl is probably posting #metoo lol 😂😂
#BIGOLEFACTS!
Great interview
When hip hop started, the Bronx had rampant gangs. Still respect to wood though.
The LEGEND LIVES ON
Motaw from above the rim. Tupac’s sideman
Love ❤️ respect ✊ brother Wood Harris!
Man dude hit the nail on the head with this gang culture coming out of Chicago cause all that hat cocked stuff i saw east west and south was mind boggling to me. Like the west was about colors long before that Chicago was on hats cocked left or right. Wood bringing back memories
Much Gratitude
wood Harris is one of my favourite actors this man needs to do more movies
Legendary!
You know when Wood throws up that Westside to Marlo in The Wire he's channelling Tupac heavy.
Great Insight
Love wood harris.
Thank you sooooo much for saying that YOU DONY HAVE GANGS SHIT out loud…early 92….it’s so refreshing to know and already knew gangs didn’t exist in NY…..CHICAGO n CALIFORNIA is something else….THANK YOU HARRIS….
The wood has family all up in the acting biz. I always thought he was a New Yorker though.
Damn I though he was from New York . Can’t believe he from Chicago
westside 24th Ktown!
I thought everybody knew he was from Chicago
@@thesupervisor3270 ikr... I gotta chance to smoke a blunt with Wood Harris when he came home back in the day ...real cool dude...
Respect Mr .W. H.✌
Even though it came out 6 years after he died, imagine Pac in The Wire? Man that would of been great!
I heard Wood Harris originally from the Chi . Glad to see someone from the Chi thriving. Good actor . Particularly liked him in Above the Rim , Remember the Titans, New Edition Story, and Paid in Full . He has picked up the New York accent a little bit .
I agree with Wood Harris. . My grandfather used to always says that if as youth in the 70s and 80s and 90s in Chicago if we had more music and musical outlets we would've had less mess!
Wood Harris is straight 🔥....I love this Chicago brotha.
This is crazy cus' I'm from the Westside but growing up ALL I listened to was music from NYC like Jeru, OC, Nas, the Wu, Mobb Deep, etc... I guess reciting so many hip-hop lyrics people think I'm from NYC as well. But when I went to NYC for the first time, it reminded of the Chi minus that gang shit. I felt cats from NYC were so lucky to not have gangs. Now in NYC they got nothing but Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings and Folks. What a fucking waste!
That is so true what he said the first time I left Chicago for any extended periods of was for college and it blew my mind the way guy's hats we're switching from one side to the other. It actually made me go into a shell. I didn't want to associate with anyone. I didn't feel like I could trust anyone. I'm not a gang banger either but I guess my eye is just trained to pick up on that sort of thing. It can cost your life in Chicago. Smh.
That's what's up💯
Wood Harris much luv 2pac 4ever Legend and 2 the Bone Thugs fans this kat I feel would play the hell out of some Flesh n Bone😃
Chi-city (Westside) checking in.. ya dig
Legend!
Wood Harris is a talented brother he does great work
He spit some knowledge from a different perspective, I fw homie
Oh yeah man I was hanging out with tupac on the set and we went in his trailer and I heard knocking on the door and this girl came in with her friend and she gave us a message and she did good her hands felt really really smooth
BLESSINGS will follow and attach to others around YOU. Tupac had blessings chasing him that's why there so many great stories.
If he's not from NYC he won't know like he said it was always crews you don't have to worry about someone running up on you because your wearing the wrong shit now a stick up kid is different and I'm from Brooklyn in the 90's it was crazy for real.
Elder Wood that is a phenomenal talent
the guy from madea movie that had to be in a wheelchair is his brother
My brotha!! I love this dude bro.
Dat Boom Box in the Background...
Wood said some real shit. I'm from Chicago and came up the same time he did. Back then in Chicago, you could NOT just wear your hat any old way. Just like red and blue is a thing with Crips and Bloods in L.A., your hat cocked right or left was the same exact shit in Chicago.
You go to someone else's hood and dudes will tell you to turn your hat straight...or not even tell you at all, and just get to poppin' at you. A LOTTTTTTTA people got changed in Chicago over their hat. So I feel Wood on the "feeling free."
I feel him on this the early 90s was a time to get it and change yiur mindset idk what happened after that. But things changed
cool story bro!!
Hood classic.
We need a Netflix series with Denzel, Wood Harris and many more ✌💞
You a legend when you get the women naked on yo absence😂😂😂💯💯💪🏾
