Great video. God bless, I like the concept of the virtue of prudence (right reason) acting like a good father guiding the children of emotions/feelings and passions in the right way.

Question: How does Aquinas quantify the love we should have for our enemy? This wouldn't be a passion or an emotional feeling.
    Jesus tells us:
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (NIV) Matthew 5:43-48
Would someone be able to help me understand this better?

23:28 - We must be careful here because we don't want to redefine the meaning of "Holiness" To be holy is to be "set apart". Therefore, the Lord our God says "Be holy for I am holy". meaning that he wants us to be set apart from everything else. The best way that I show this is in marriage. Men, our wives need to be set apart from all other women. Therefore, we make her holy because she is set apart and different from all other women. Let's be clear here only God has the ability to make something holy, so he is the one who is setting us apart from everything else. Just like the wife who is willing to join her husband, we must also be willing to join God and follow him. Therefore we are holy through him who has made us holy.

We can also see what holiness looks like in Exodus 3:5 when God tells Moses to take off his sandals for the ground he's standing on is holy ground. Now, the dirt that's under Moses's feet is still the same physical dirt that's elsewhere on the ground. Why is it considered holy ground? Because God has said it was. Now it's considered to be set apart and therefore we must treat it as such different from all the rest.
