2012 was the death of the Goldwing character and the birth of the Goldwing plastic BMW lookalike :( Im holding onto my 2006 til it dies :)

I purchased a Wing in 1975 that I still have, serial number is in the first 200 bikes. My daily rider is a 2004 1800.

Nice pics. I may do a similar video with a slow overlay transition so we can actually see changes better. That fly-away transition just doesn't make it.
Nice history there, But where did you get the 2011 photo? There was never a 2011 Goldwing made. Just an observation. Great job on the video anyway.

I have '97 SE. My 1st was an'80 Interstate then an '82 Aspencade. Great bikes.
They made prototype
models from 1972 to 1974 which were actually 6 cylinder engines, before settling on the 4 cylinder GL1000 for the first production model.
There was no GL1800 produced in 2011.

Hmmmmm. There was NO 2011 Goldwing. Honda made the 2010 in Marysville, OH, then moved the manufacturing to Japan.
Big, Bigger, BIGGER STILL LOL. I've always found this bike funny. I dont think it's for me (for now, i'm 26), but it's still a masterpiece in it's own category.
I'm 27 and my F6B is the best bike I have ever ridden, it takes the best of every motorcycle I have ever ridden and adds them up into one. The experience is not of the motorycle world.

Im 25 and I fell in love with these bikes a couple years ago. These bikes are not for old people. Power, handling, style, comfort, luxury, reliability, and easy maintenance all in one package.

There was no 2011 Goldwings. 2010 was last year assembled in USA, 2011 the Assembly Line was moved to Japan while the engineers put the final touches on the 2012 rebranding for the launch in Japan. Zero produced in 2011.
In fact, from 2001 to 2011, look similar without any different ^_^
You’re right. Just a few changes on features, but not on body work until 2012.
That 82 color was sexy, they fucked up in 88 when they started to cover up the engine. From 80 to 87 they looked the best.

To my knowledge the Goldwing didn't come out until 1975 not 1972.
Gary Dunn i leanrd and i researched and they were cb with wind jammers as i was told. lol
There were actually non-running Goldwing prototypes with 6 cylinder engines configurations. They made these prototypes from 1972 until 1974 before settling on the 4 cylinder GL1000!
the 1982 to 1985 goldwing shared the same fairing as the the 1985 honda silverwing GL650 interstate .
