    This salaries, normally we divide the annual. Salary by 12 to get basic salary.. Den other things are added on the basic salary such as overtime, rural, in hospitable environment etc... And there is also tax that plays a role.
    For example your annual for pharmacy intern u said it's R350 817 diving that by 12 is R29 234.75 isn't that the basic salary??. (without any allowance), R24 318 wat happened to the rest? Did u include tax?
    Even pharmacy grade 1 annual 693 372 /12 = 57k but yrs is 37k... Wat happened may u pls explain.
    And isn't that 500 001 annual salary tax is 40%??
    Thanx
    B4 we can even include

      The pharmacist's salary is a total cost to the employer package. Which means that it is a 70/30 % split. So for a grade 1 the basic is 70% of R693372. The other 30% is structured for pension and allowances. The value I am showing is the net salary after pension and taxes excluding other allowances, not the basic salary which is R40 446,70.
      For the intern and comserv the value shown is without pension as interns and comserv can opt-out of pension. please check my video on medical interns which I explain in a bit more detail. czcams.com/video/IowDQm0jWEQ/video.html

    Hello, do you think the demand is likely to increase in the next 10 years or will jobs be relatively scarce for pharmacists compared to other health professionals as is the case currently?

    • @InterncomservVlog
      @InterncomservVlog  Před 3 lety +3

      Disruptive technology and task shifting will play a big role. Legislation is another factor. Chronic medicine dispensing is now done via the post. Robotics and AI may also replace a reatail pharmacist. So yes I think the demand may go down. Currently you have to have an onsite pharmacist to run a pharmacy but if legislation changed to have corporates own pharmacies, what is going to stop corporates from pushing for remote management of retail pharmacies.

      Experience is based on actually working in a place. So if you have not worked post-graduation then it's zero experience. You will have to have done an internship. As a pharmacist grade 1 you should have completed an internship and at least 1 year as South Africans have to do community service. If you have not done community service then your first year of work will be equated to community service.
