Bontrager Transmitr is the ANT+ wireless system that allows you to control the functions of your front and rear lights wirelessly and conveniently. Power on, cycle through modes, and even see realtime battery life status, and do it all through an easy-to-use, handlebar-mounted remote.

For those of you who seem to think this is overkill, or not needed, I have found this system to be one of the best safety features a cyclist could have. In my case I am a road cyclist riding mainly in the suburbs, and on weekend group rides suburbs to country roads and back again, also Grand Fondo/Century rides. With just a quick reach with my thumb and a press of the button I can turn both lights on, hands always on the bar. I use daylight flash on the front and rear. If you need to really get a drivers attention coming at you, another quick hit of the main on/off button, sets the front light to bright, push again, back to flash, or whatever mode you had it in when you first turned it on. Hold the main power button down for 3 seconds and all lights turn off, saving the batteries. You can also turn lights off individually, but for me I just keep it simple using the main power button. I have found on group rides, when I am at the back of the group, I can have my lights on, and that gives the group easier detection from drivers, but...... when I am in the middle or up front with the group I can turn off my lights so the cyclist behind me don't have to deal with a pretty bright flashing light in their face, with just a 3 second touch of the button with my hands always on bars.

Yeah it's kind of pricey, but really what is the price of becoming a hood ornament on someone's car? For me, I would not ride without it. I have had mine about 9 months, with zero problems. The design and use of the remote was very well thought out, and the lights are very visible in the daylight (that part is important to me), and provide plenty of light to ride at night too.

This is much better than trying to reach towards my seatpost to turn the light on and then cycle the light to the proper mode. well done

Looks awesome. Can't wait to get my own set for those long trail rides after hours.

Bought one of these light sets new. One week later the rear tail light fell off my bike at the beginning of a gravel race. Turned out the sidewalls in the plastic slot that receives the light bracket tab structurally failed (they disintegrated). This would be an awesome light set if the rear light were manufactured to conventional strength and robusteness standards. I like everything else about the Transmitr system -- it's bright, highly visible, and the remote control features work well.

Dammit that's what I was here too try to figure out... Just spent over $200 on these dumb lights and can't get them working properly. I'm about to take them back, I don't even want to deal with them anymore. Sad.. good product otherwise..

It's useful for tunnels, especially whilst touring, particularly on a tandem. Saves you from stopping every time before and after to turn the lights on and off. But it's too expensive... I'll probably set up my own wired system, and just install a simple switch on the handlebars.

Will this remote work on the CYCLIQ Fly12 light/camera combo?
