I like the role Rasmussen is taking on. Seems to be helping him play more confidently these last couple seasons.
He stepped right in to keep Mo out of the box. He should get some training at Kronk like some of the boys did back in the day. It took some time for other tal, lanky guys like Primeau and Grimson to learnto use their length to their advantage.
Full on power winger with keeper skills. I just wish he could fight better or have more sandpaper in his game. He's getting better, tho.

Feels good that we can score without Debrincat. He is our scoring guy but we have other guys who can score

The narrative in these few games to start the season is "if you want any chance of winning against Detroit stay out of the penalty box" because they're filling nets on this powerplay right now. Like a well oiled machine.

Husso with a heck of a game. That first goal actually hit Larkin in the shin. Fantastic play by our tandem thus far and I am digging it! Second star behind the scoring. It's a long season, but thus far things are looking good!
Veleno's really stepped it up this year.
Veleno with the even strength goals is nice to see. Sick passes, again, today.
I was worried watching the start of this game, but the Wings made up for that for sure. Fun game to watch.

It was also a masterclass of Detroit riling Tkachuk up and taking him pretty much out of any kind of productivity. He spent a lot of that game chirping and throwing whiny little punches, and none of it scoring goals.
It’s very refreshing to see a Red Wings team that can be competitive again! I just hope they can keep this up throughout the entire season and keep losing streaks to a minimal

Ppl saying that cross check by Larkin was dirty.. i dont think so, it was a example of old time hockey. If you run at our guys we take u out... its amazing to see this in todays game.. its a shrinking part of the game and these boys got grit!
You can say what you will about the average of Chiarot's stint in Detroit, but in this game particularly I thought he played some incredible defense. His stick was in almost every lane, his checks were well positioned, the whole 9. Aside from his backwards toepick that led to the Sen's second goal I thought he played a hell of a game today.
I'd rather have Chiarot than any of the dmen we've had in the past few years.. he's had some hiccups, but overall he's a Vet and has that presence in the locker room im sure. I don't mind him being on our team. He lays the hits hard, and we need players like that.
the red wings’ power play is gonna be absolutely LETHAL if they continue to be this hot. i love seeing this team play with hot heads, especially with division rivals like the sens.

Wings need to keep getting elite, offensive first defensemen like Ghost on this team at all times. He's been electric for our offense, and generating plays. Also Justin Holl has some pretty damn good stats so far with the WIngs. Sure he's not putting up points, but his defensive numbers are better than most on the team.
Holl has been unremarkable in the best way possible. You see him make the plays he needs to but otherwise stays out of the announcers mouths, He's a big body, so that's nice. hope to see some good hits and or snarl on the back end.
Yea Red Wings (now 4-1) are still gaining chemistry with each other having 10 new players on the team, literally HALF the team.. but take having the #1 Offense and PP in the league, while being TIED for the most most points in the conference with the Bruins (4-0) and THIRD MOST in the entire NHL, while trying to figure each otherout on the fly..

The last time I remember being this into watching my Wings was when Pav and Henrik were on the team. Seems like the dead wings have risen!
We were blessed as kids as Wings fans in the 90's. I will never tire of hearing Mickey and Ken's voices.

I did not know Ottawa had a diving team! Looked like PK Subban clinic out there. Maybe if Taf@ck and the rest of the Sens had worried about playing hockey instead of trying to hurt Cat, they might not have gotten spanked. Great game BOYS!! LGRW!!

My favorite sequence of this entire game was by far the 5th goal. Great save by Husso, then an even better block by Seider on Tarasenko. Then getting to see that diver Stutzle cough the puck up 10 seconds later to Sprong to set the goal up. And the shot by Veleno to finish it was awesome.

They can kill power plays and they can score on power plays makes a huge difference .they also a lot tougher less turnovers in there own zone

Go to see this one - unfortunately with Sportsnet announcers. Was streaming but the free streaming site died midway thru the last game. The newer players are really hitting their stride, Copp is playing like he is healthy and capable of, Veleno getting some results, thing are rosy right now. Truthfully, I was thinking we might get put in our place today, but quite the opposite. LGRW !

He's not as much of an a$$hole as his brother, but he can be when he wants. He really took himself out of this game, as did many of the Sens, trying to hurt Cat. Nest time they play the Sens, The Capitan needs to call up an old school enforcer, if there is one in the minors/juniors, somewhere, and take ol' Brady to task.

For Mickey to call you out like that is saying something! Our announcers try very hard to be nonbiased and complimentary to the opposing teams for great plays. Like Korpisalo's numerous outstanding stops! Could have easily been 8 or 9 goals for our Wings. Husso was awesome well!
How is Raymonds game so far?
Ahhh. Not bad but not good either. Myself I usually wait until about a month or so see how a player is doing individually. Hopefully he’ll start to pick it up here soon
