He is well informed. I like cars too, but I was never very occupied with the "nationality" of a car. I know BMW is German, Lamborghini is Italian, Aston Martin is British. I don't really go more in depth on this matter.

I like it when he paused just as he was going to say "British Car" and instead saying "What is perceived as a British brand" since he knew Rollers practically is German because BMW made it. Just the way he talks it speaks to everyone that he is a hell of a car enthusiast.
Raditya Indera it is an English car, it's mostly made in England and all craftsmanship is English. It is as a true British car.

Dan _ it’s not a 7 series, they only share platforms, that’s all. Rolls get their own engine, and they are hand built in their own factory. A company like Rolls Royce cannot survive on it’s own without a bigger company like BMW.
I have never heard of a car being described in such a way his knowledge and understanding of what the brand represents is outstanding. His love and passion for a masterpiece like Rolls Royce is wonderful to listen to and watch. If only I could I would buy Rolls Royce on his word alone. He sells it beautifully.

I'm in Texas, but growing up my older brother made sure I developed an appreciation for finely crafted automobiles like Rolls Royce and Bentley. I don't know when I first heard the names. My brother (RIP) would have LOVED this...and so much of what Rowan said about the RR, my brother could have said (even though he had never driven a RR). I love Rowan Atkinson.. And RR and cannot WAIT to see this movie and will have the dvd as soon as available !

flyingphoenix113 when BMW took over in the 90s this engine was meant for the phantom. They wanted the ultimate luxury car with the ultimate engine, but then in the last second they decided that the v16 was a bit over the top and changed it to the v12...

Left the part out where the V16 was an actual prototype engine installed in a test car, but eventually shelved. Rowan somehow knew about this car, and asked Rolls whether he could use it.
If Rolls Royce kept the 9 litre V16 into the production models, it'd been the biggest engine fitted in a production car, surpassing the Dodge Viper having an 8 litres V10.

actually Im just a 23 years old who graduated months ago but I fall in love with the branding of rolls royce when I was 16 years old. and specially when it appeared in the movie I was like wow the mighty rolls royce in the movie
Idk what makes me into a classic car even Im living the modern world and I dont even have the money to get a rolls royce but actually this magnificent palace is my motivation to grow and get it one day with the beautiful roof of stars and the classic door opening backwards and the luxurious quality that only accept perfection
and even I want to be a part of rolls royce community.. I feel like it matches my personality

The Indian company Tata own the brand and unlike owners Ford previously, they give Jaguar what it needs. Capital when and if required and a free hand to design and build. I had an Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio and a BMW M2.
Now I enjoy a Jaguar F-Type V8 SVR. Wow, the ultimate pocket rocket and GT combined. And the looks; sexy!!!

It's not made in Germany. It's designed and built in Britain using the German's money.

It pains me to say it but they are pretty much made in Germany. The body is shipped over also the engine and transmission. The final assembly is done in England as is the interior and paintwork.

Ironically that royce does look like a tank, unlike let's say a 911 or any german car that's not an SUV. But british cars always have been elegant and nobel in design, you just chose the completely wrong model. Not sayinh that a phant doesn't look good
Rolls Royce design by British, what's visible to your eye are designed by British, but every Tech and Engineering inside of the car is by German.
