technically good players, and their forwards are quick..
they have the most balanced team in PSL....from back to the Frontline
player quality is everything in positional play.In the end they make te decisions on the pitch the manager can provide a plan but the players have to execute
100% correct. Position play is skewed more towards the technicality of players than just physical strength.
Snd the perfect position to showcase in my opinion is at CDM.

All i think pirates need is a progressive carrier who's also a progressive passer.
Its ver ly rare to find midfielders with good progressive carries snd progressive passing in the PSL.
If Pasrka mako had the mind snd running capacity of a midfielder. He could've made a good progressive carrier. But eish its complicated.

I thank you a lot i know pirates have been good football previous seasons but the aggression was not there but now we see exceptional football with results i just feel that if we had coach Jose at our disposal the time we reached the championship final against al ahly and confederation's cup against Bekane with this positional style of play we could have won those final easily thank you for sharing the light big up Sir and big up to coach Jose

One thing i have realized watching this video is that this boys are not used to play with each other due to chopping and changing the way we play is very good but imagine if our lineup was consistent the understanding was going to be there.There are times you are watching this video and you ask yourself why didn't Saleng pass Monare there on the space but because of inconsistency of our lineup we will see such things

true but jose at the season had a consistent lineup.Now he is forced to make changes since mofokeng is on trails at wolves,saleng,ndlondlo,sibisi and lepasa have had injuries.The more the get used to playing with each other (might take 2 seasons) the rotations will be automatic like man city n they will stop being inconsistent

One thing I've noticed in football lately...pressing a goalkeeper who's good with his feet is sometimes a disadvantage.
You lose a bit of your defensive structure starting from up top...thus losing your "positionsl superiority". So you have to be smart on "when"/"if" you should press.
The other thing, some goalkeepers are good with their feet, but their brains knowledgeon where to move the ball is limited, which makes their feet useless. This is a reason top keepers like Onana are no longer pressed, but are allowed to have time on the ball snd pick their pass, because although their feet are good, they make the wrong pass. U clearly see that from Onana's decisions.
But i think its smart what pirates are doing with their keeper.

Every team is doing good when you decide to analyze only their best games where the plan have worked but when you look at the contrary the perception changes hence you have to balance
i didnt say pirates was perfect,I was analysing their style of play not their tactics.If i was to analyse their tactics, then i would show u the good and the bad.Style of play and game tactics are two different things

I realized that ofori has been good in distributing the ball with a long kick which is no longer the case in modern football rather in the being implemented philosophy

consistency is key.Man City under pep play the same way just minor tweaks here and there. The more these players play together the more consistent they will be then they will start winning league games.Player quality is also important because the win the matches not the coach

pirates r going to be inconsistent,they have new players and have injuries.In the last 3 matches they havent had a consistent lineup,it becomes difficult for the players to have an understanding.If u hv watched them u would have realised they have no rhythm and have no chemistry especially the front line.Its only lorch and maswanganyi who have an understanding.Give him time,klopp didnt win his first league title until his fourth season at liverpool.Be patient
