I am an artist who has done time in the military as well. A bit of common sense will allow us to tell that Man vs. Wild is a dramatic presentation show on survival skills, and not actual survival like Survivalman. The fact that he constantly adresses a seperately held camera should be quite obvious. The only reason some think this is "real", is more due to their ignorance on actual survival, then the show trying to decieve them.
theres probably more nutrition in the stuff he eats in teh wild then there is on an averag plate of dinner, thing is what he eats he has to catch, kill skin cook and some of it tastes terrible, but in the end its all about survival, our ancestors all did it, people who get lost in the wilderness these days usualy die because they have no clue what to do.
there was a promo on the discovery channel about this show, and it was about eating this kind of stuff. There was an opera song in this promo, does anybody know it?
