@@massaweed420 Honestly, I can easily picture a French soldier of the era to not care much about the outcome of the battle in the long run but just how his conduct would be perceived in the eyes of God. Medieval people weren't nearly as afraid of death as we are now, in fact many even looked forward to the eternal paradise.

Quetzalcoatl the east Europeans were thought to continuously try to persuade the burgundians to use the infantry first, so they probably thought that they did everything they could
Plus that, the experienced soldiers in the wallachian continget were few in number, due to the victory that they recently "suffered"( even if they won the battle in 1395, they were outnumbered and they suffered horrific losses too), so it was made mostly from inexperienced men who were easy to rout( especially after they saw how the better equipped and trained burgundians knights were just trashed)
The cavalry charge was really stupid, if only the westerners would've done as the Hungarian king adviced.....

An example of how arrogance and excessive pride can lead to defeat and death. Sigismund and Mircea proposed that the Wallachian infantry attack first since they had experience against the Ottomans from the previous years of fighting and the first line of the Ottoman soldiers consisted of slighty weaker troops used to tire the enemy until the Spahis joined to attacked the tired and disorganised enemy, but the French refused because they thought that they will lose the opportunity to gain honor and prestige in favour of the Wallachians

Wow, you guys are improving at a stellar pace. The change of narrators is really helping, and you've stopped sounding too dramatic. Keep up the good work!
That said, I spotted two minor errors in this video: Firstly, the Knights Hospitaller's army appears to originate from Malta, which is perhaps their best-known base, but in the 1390s they were stationed on Rhodes, which they acquired in 1310 and lost in 1522. Secondly, you referred to the Hungarian capital as Budapest, but Budapest was created as a unification of Buda, Pest, and Óbuda in 1873, Buda having been the capital until then. I could see why you might want to call it Budapest just for the audience's sake, but it would only take a second to say e.g. "Buda, the Hungarian capital" instead, and it'd be more accurate!

One of the most interesting things you learn in this series is that the different Christian kingdoms (Serbs, Wallachians, Moldavians, Hungarians etc.) seemed to have been spending more time fighting each other than being united against the Turks, or even siding with the Turks against another Christian kingdom. It goes to show that this idea of a united Christian Europe fighting against Islam is a myth invented by modern day ethnonationalists.

It’s mostly depending on who is the main threat to one of them , and who is the weak
The Catholics fought a lot against Orthodoxs I guess since the division of the Roman Empire but also against the Muslims in Anatolia, Levant and the Iberian peninsula too on the western side when the crusades started and made treaties with the byzantines and Hungarians
The orthodox byzantines in the other hand also fought a lot with the early Muslim Arabs and the Muslim Seljuk Turks
And Russians were another tough enemy to the ottomans
The ottomans too turned against the Armenians after they were living in under the ottoman rule for 4 centuries in WW1 after their revolts
Sides can sometimes easily change, just like Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, fought together against Poland and fought each other about 4 years after

Turkish history lessons at high school make it explicit that Balkan's being not united, lack of central powers and Black Plague contributed to rise of Ottomans and once Europe got centralized, Black Plague ended and Ottoman reached natural borders, Ottoman expansion ended.
