Huffaker Mountain Trail | An easy hike in Reno

A short and easy urban hike with some really nice views. I've done this loop about a thousand times as it's right by my office and I would walk it during my lunch hour!
You can access this trail from the parking lot behind IGT or from Huffaker Park. Lots of picnic tables along the way if you want to enjoy your lunch with views of Mt. Rose or Reno. Great for plane spotting too as they take off and land right overhead.
If you want to make this hike harder you can climb to either (or both!) of the small peaks that you'lll walk past.

It most certainly is. Unless it’s a hot day, of course. No trees! Just a shady gazebo.

Nice place to stretch my legs or walk across the road & hike up Rattlesnake Mountain.
+ there are several geocaches just off to one side of the trail.
