Gambo?!
Interesting video bro thanks
Grats on Raid sponsor, hope they payed well!
A prenup isn't asumuming that you don't trust your partner, it's ensuring the relationship is 100% because of the feelings the two people have for eachother and that it has nothing to do with money.
But then isn't that saying you don't trust in the feelings of your partner, just asking off from what you said
@@Xsamael3 feelings don't last very long and they can also change. people need to stop feeling and start thinking long term
@@Xsamael3 did u ever have a friend that u hate now?
@@Xsamael3 you must be naive.. or a woman 😂
Yes. Exactly this!
Prenup means, if things do end, the government doesn't get to dictate the terms. Which is a better ending for everyone involved.
Prenups are necessary. Anyone who thinks it means you expect bad to happen needs to have their car insurance, health insurance, and home insurance immediately canceled, as they would be hypocrites by getting those "hoping for bad to happen."
At the end of the day, if you believe something someone else has before knowing you should become yours, should you ever leave, then it shows you don't care about the person and are selfish.
I agree !
Very well said !
Great analogies
Great insurance analogy.
@@joshyg4260 Terrible analogies, actually. Marriage is not a 'motor vehicle', real estate, or 'health'. It's not an 'asset'. It is above those things. It is a promise. Traditional vows make this explicit. There's also a pretty famous book that touches on these matters...
Exactly, it's just insurance.
Only Andrew could get me to watch an entire in-video advertisement for Raid. “I think what I like most is the strategic part of the game…”
lmfao
I'd watch Andrew do an entire video advert for Raid bug spray
i thought it was only me lol
Lol
🤣😂
Andrew’s fixin to propose to Carly, but he’s trying to get a feel for whether he should ask for a prenup or not. Lol
Haha you mean a negative prenup, so no debt for her 😂 (jk i know that Andrew is gonna be rich again soon, he's a smart boi)
I grew up watching my father recover from the financial ruin of my parents divorce. A prenup is a conversation with my partner I'm going to have before I consider them wife material. That's just me though.
smart man
nah man u are smart. every man needs to understand that the courts will RUIN u if u dont protect yourself. i have seen it with my own two eyes.
an easy way to talk about it is just bringing up the fact that neither of you will be the same person in 20 years that you are today...so you're both protecting yourself cause you have no idea who either of you will become.
@@nGUNNARp I can easily agree with this. The person you fall in love with today may not exist a decade into your marriage. The love of your life may disappear after childbirth. Google Post partum depression.
or just dont bring the government into your relationships at all...
Prenup this Blu-ray back at my place
If two people decide they don't want a prenup, that's fine. I had that level of trust with someone when I was younger. We stayed together for 14 years and when she left out of nowhere guess who was left holding the bag? Now I have a repossession on my credit file for a car that I never had a chance to keep from being sold at auction, and instead of being angry, I'm left to be "thankful" that she isn't coming after me for my pension and more.
In reality we know the divorce rates, and we know that a good chunk of those people ended up wishing they had of protected themselves. If someone really can't sign a contract that says: "You won't destroy me financially if you choose to leave"...then they shouldn't be signing the marriage certificate either.
exactly
It's called being a grown up, and understanding life is unpredictable. PEOPLE ARE UNPREDICTABLE.

Andrew, the thing I love most about all of your content is that you are you. Never stop being that.
The girl in the red jacket is my kind of girl. "Aggressively single" had my dying 😅😅
yeah the ones definitely not looking for a relationship are the ones with my attention too 😮🫰
My parents didn't get a pre-nup. My mother took a lot during the divorce
Same 😂
Exactly why you want a prenup.
My current property came from a divorced women that I doubt payed for it.
@@nelsonoliveira1007 Exactly why those two parents need to repent and believe.
10:01 That’s actually a good idea- the parent can guarantee their child is set up and there’s no chance a disgruntled ex could take what was intended to go to their child and it kinda makes it easier on the kid who can use the old excuse of “because my mom said I had to.”

Pre nup Team! It is about RESPECTING people' s work and properties. It is about minimum decency to ask your love partner to sign a prenup and a proof of love sign it. Very simple.
I think that prenups should be like the standard. Depending on the jurisdiction you're in, if you don't have one, it can be pretty devastating.

If it’s your second marriage or if you’re rich you definitely want a prenup
If you are poor it’s time to gamble

prenups are actually necessary and a good idea. If both parties feel they have a strong foundation and their relationship will not fail, then there is no reason to not sign a prenup. on the other hand, if both or one of the partners feels like they shouldn't sign one because they are afraid the relationship is going to fail, then that relationship shouldn't even begin to start with.
Thats the thing i dont really understand. If my partner thinks im getting a prenup because i expect the relationship to fail or because i know i'll want to get rid of her in the future, why would i even be with her for long enough to get a prenup.
Wow! The answers in this video really surprised me. I’m actually very encouraged to see how many people said prenups were fine. I thought I was alone in my feelings. I think prenups should be the standard for every marriage. Both parties should sign one. I don’t think it’s setting any sort of negative tone going into the relationship.
Nice job in the sponsorship man, this was an interesting one, I’m enjoying these 👏
loved this topic. You should consider trying to get more interactions with people outside of college age. It'd be far more interesting to hear older, more "experienced" individuals takes on a topic like this. Could potentially relate to a wider audience too

Love and appreciate you Andrew.
Glad you are back bro!
Prenups are also a awesome way to discuss finances before getting married. Something I think actually helps the union last longer and stronger.
There you are! I was waiting for another video!
My opinion on the topic: I wouldn't care if a girl I was dating asked me to sign a prenup. Relationships are bound to end. Makes sense to hedge against that risk.
Turn on notif squad again, did not know andrew does this kind of content again, CONTENT GOLD

Not sure if you read my comment on men that cry but this was exactly what I was asking for!!
Great video Andrew, keep it up 👍
A prenup is essentially an insurance policy. Sure, it's not fun and exciting to do but it's to safeguard and protect everything you earned and worked for before meeting your partner. It's in the same way nobody wants their home to burn down or their plumbing to break, but it's just that added peace of mind to help you if the unfortunate was to ever see the light of day.
Leaving a comment and a like just because I have a lot of love for this dude and I want to see him succeed.

If you get car insurance, you aren’t expecting to get into an accident. But you’ll sure be glad you have it if it happens.
Experienced divorce lawyer here. Guess what? Everyone who gets married has a prenup. Either you get your own prenup drafted by a competent attorney or state divorce law acts as your prenup. Your choice.
Da fuq is up with all these ultra chill people lol
1000% have one. Anyone that tells you otherwise is living in a fantasy world.
"What's yours before the relationship should still be yours" That's what I'm talkin about.
Marriages end in two ways, death or divorce. If it makes sense to have a will, it makes sense to have a prenup.
"I'm planning to make a lot of money after graduation."
"I'm a history major so I won't be making much money."
Which one is it?
congratz on thee raid sponsorship man
I believe that prenups are great, it ensures that both people have individual interests and keeps the relationship as equal as possible.
People should look at prenups like car insurance. You don't plan on getting into a car accident. However, in case you do get into a car accident, you are covered by your car insurance. The fact that 50 percent of all marriages ends in divorce, is even more reason why you should get a prenup.
That was a really good one
Andrew is officially now a pro advertiser!
Legal marriage is a contract. If you don't want a contract starting your relationship off then just get married in spirit(have the wedding, the vowing to be with each other forever and all that). A prenup modifies the legal contract of marriage to suit your needs. The prenup isn't where a contract is introduced so how wanting a different contract rather than the one standardised by the state is a lack of trust...idk
Judges throw out prenups
With the direction your channel is heading towards, if you want this to be big, you'll have to come in with a lot more preparation. Minimal preparation may have worked with your content before, but for this one, i dont think so. Rooting for you 🐐🐐🐐🐐
He has a regular job. He quit youtube a long time ago bro
It was interesting hearing from the people with inheritances who already had prenups planned, I guess their parents don't want to leave their money up to their children's judgement which I understand but is a little funny. Andrew, you should mention the perspectives from people you interview early on when people have opposing opinions, I'm curious to hear what people say when challenged!
It's similar to home insurance in a way. You don't plan to get robbed but if you do you won't lose a bunch of money if it happens. You don't plan to get divorced but if you do, one of you won't lose a bunch of money if it happens.
A prenup should just be mandatory for any marriage to just protect yourself. Saying that you don't trust your partner is the wrong way to think about it. People change and you don't want to lose everything because you are hopeful or didn't want to offend your partner.
If people are willing to sign contracts to be with someone hence that’s what marriage is then they should be open to the idea of a prenup, Don’t understand why people get offended
Never sign a contract with someone who benefits from the dissolution of said contract.
Damn that history major gonna make bank!
I'm a CA attorney. Prenups are made in community property states (western states). Community property is all property obtained during the marriage by both or one spouse.Upon separation each get 1/2 of total property obtained during the marriage.
A prenup helps keep the property separated. It does not matter if you are poor or rich at the beginning of the marriage. Everything obtained during the marriage is owned by both spouses unless there is a prenup that clasifies the property as separate instead of community property.
6:20 wtf does "aggressively single" mean 🤣
aggressively single, thanks I will use that term
Really did the beetlejuice at the end there
I'm really curious what the divorce rates are for people who thought they didn't need a prenup vs the people who do.
Andrew you're awesome, I would just suggest asking more open-ended questions rather than yes or no questions! otay otay
Noo way you did a sponsor from raid shadow legends, that's actually kinda funny 😂 actually a meme at this point
Aggressively single

😂😂😂😂😂
Priorities straight😂😂😂
Prenup is insurance. It's required if you have any sense. You have nothing to gain from a prenup if you're in a healthy relationship but you can lose 50% of everything in a bad one.
I would check the divorce rate of those who had prenup vs those who didn’t. I have a feeling that the rate is not the same

I got a prenup partially because her family is better off than mine and I wanted them to feel confident that I wasn't in it to get at their wealth.
Good man, do you think she'd be cool with it if the roles were reversed.
@@junior523 I think so, we're both aligned on what the prenup is for and we both like it when these kinds of things are well defined and laid out in writing. I guess we're both doing ok financially though, maybe things would be different if one side was really struggling. Who knows!

Andrew! Make more videos. We miss you
Omg he just got... gambo??!
I think they're necessary when inheritances come into the mix.
A divorce and money can make people greedy.
Yeah, it depends on the individuals as a couple. Like ppl with very high incomes should probably always get a prenup. Just bc that’s a lot to be lost. If you know you’re both not vindictive ppl and in the event of divorce, won’t go after each other and will treat each other fairly than no. But also…if they just became commonplace, erasing the supposed expectation of eventual divorce it would eliminate the negative tone and just be a normal thing like paying taxes ensuring okay, as individuals we won’t be screwed. I feel like you shouldn’t have to sign an agreement that should just be given upon marriage.
Necessary, always
Only for the house, if she left, she can’t take my grandparents life work.
There's someone in the comment section that mentioned insurance on your property like home care, phone, tablet, fuck even Tornado, hurricane and earthquake insurance. hell even a PS5 has insurance. Why not put insurance on yourself with a prenup? Im getting older and i been totally fine in relationships with beautiful women. Once i mention this while we are serious. They break up with me like im the problem as if the gial along was to secure a future with my bank account.
In my state, inheritance cannot be taken from a spouse EVEN through a divorce. Inheritance is considered a birth right, marriage doesn’t trump that. Check your states! With the prenup conversation; it’s crazy how many people are upset by prenups. There is absolutely no issue with someone protecting their valuables and life prior to marrying someone. You can scream “there’s no trust” all you want but it’s more so about protecting what’s yours. If you are in it for love, and what you guys do as a couple, then that’s all you should need going forward. At the end of the day, you wouldn’t NOT protect yourself either. Prenups show the strength of a relationship, and how open communication can be. Being straightforward and honest with each other is the best thing.
If they don't sign the pre nup that shows a lack of commitment and don't marry them. When your young and in love your not wise to the realities of the world.
Instead of prenups just have penalties; Adultery? $100K per instance. Abuse? $500K. Letting your body go? $250K, etc...
It’s a misconception to think you NEED to have something to get a prenup. You can have 0 dollars and get one to protect futures etc.
Yo Andrew, I want to order a hat but im from the Netherlands those shipping costs are next level is there another way??
Thanks man ♥
Why not get a prenup? You can just share your money with your partner as is. If ya'll are divorcing then you shouldn't unwillingly give up your money. If anything, not signing a prenup could lead to questioning trust.
One of the best
