    Hi,
    I have a set of about 800+ Tophat&Cane Clay chips, most of them are as good as new. The purple and the orange with the values $500 and $1000 have hardly ever been used and are basically new. I was wondering what a current selling price is for these kind of chips these days. Have seen prices around $3/$4 each on Ebay, the green chips worth $25 for $149 per 10 chips? I understand they are no longer manufactured.

    So I HAVE the dice chips, and strangely, out of all of these options, I actually like the look of those the most. I am a game designer and play a lot of in-house gaming games, so I actually like the fact that they don't have listed values on the chips because I like the option to change the values if the game calls for it.

    PokerChipsOnline formerly ASM is the real deal. Premier chip maker for most US casinos during the 1900s and they still make them. They are expensive, but you can develop and customize your own colors, inlays, and edge-spots ANY way you want. I had about 1200 of these made about 15 years ago, and when I asked to buy 500 more recently, they had my order on file and it was VERY easy. Quality is second to none, but the wait is LONG and you pay up front. My latest order is about to ship and I placed it 13 months ago...

    Nice Job! Any advice on how to determine what the value of a chip set would be? Specifically, I have a set of 300 Paulson Fabulous Las Vegas Top Hat and Cane chips. I've had them for 20 years or so. The only thing I've found is folks selling individual chips for about $12 each on ebay. Not so confident in that as a baseline... Thanks!

    • @Hobbyphilic
      @Hobbyphilic  Před rokem

      Look at sold Ebay listings. July 29, 2022 a stack of 10 $1000 sold for $42. Jul 30, a stack of 20 $0.50 sold for $31. Those comps suggest about $1.50 to about $4 a chip. My imagination suggests a nice complete set is going to command slightly higher prices, maybe $5-$6/chip or more. It's up to you how to sell them. Depending on your Ebay feedback rating I'd auction them or set a high "buy it now" and accept the best offer. PCF also has a good selling platform. Those are nice, if I were you I might just keep them.

    • @sfcstriker9537

      @@Hobbyphilic Thanks for the feedback. I don't think I'd sell them, (If for some ungodly reason they were worth $4000 I might let them go, lol) but they are my favorite poker chips of the ones that I have. I just regret not ordering more originally. I've attempted to purchase more over the years, but as you know, they are not available except for folks selling 1 or 10 at a time for ridiculous prices. The screened images are great and they play like casino chips. Thanks again!

      Hmm.. I always thought $30 was a legal raise in this scenario. If BB is $10. Min raise of $10 (2x blind) to $20. Next player is doubling the raise of $10 to $20, which is a total of $30. Has me thinking now...maybe this only occurs as preflop action as later streets require standard 2x raises?
