Thank you very much for watching, everyone! Learn more about the differences between British and American English in my video about vocabulary: czcams.com/video/i9c37vMbxGg/video.html
As an American, I absolutely love your videos! You explain everything in such a lovely way that, even as a native speaker, helps me with my friends who are not. Thank yoU!
Thank you very much, Gill! Always a pleasure to attend your classes! As an emigrant who's living in USA and who's second language was British English, in the high school, from time to time I have a disagreement with my husband, who is an American, regarding English language. This class helped me to realise the differences and come to my senses. Thank you, again!🙏❤🙏
The words you have talked about always left me puzzled when I found them changed their spelling while I jump reading books or articles from writer to another. But now, thanks to you, I know the reason.
Dear Ma'am Gill, I have liked your lesson on British and American spellings ! British people go for lengthy spellings whereas American people tend to use lesser number of words and they lay emphasis on how it sounds while spelling any word.If the word 'pillar' sounds perfectly okay using only one 'l', they will not go for another 'l' to strengthen it. Since we have learnt to pronounce the words with 'll' as they are, right from the very beginning of our life,we find it strange to spell the words with a single 'l'. Thanks !😊
Fantastic for us learners !!! We can use both: BE and AE and in case of mistake we can tell “I wrote it in AE” or “I wrote it in BE” depending on our convenience 😂😂😂 Out of the joke thank you Teacher Gill for you useful videos.
A Very useful video, I learned a lot. Thanks Gill, your videos always cheer me up!☀️ The subtitles on this video was a bit confusing. When a words spelling changed as a verb in English, or to the American spelling the subitles often still showed the English noun spelling.
Mam , it is requested to the prominent bodies of each Country that they should put out the solution of this spell issue ( mingle with each to eliminate the spell discrimination 😢) although they have different accents but .... 😢
Hello Gilly, would it be possible that the spelling is different because the Americans write with a focus on phonetics? Interesting lesson Gill. Thank you 🙏

Fun fact: English spelling has never been fully standardised. The first attempt to do so was made by Orrm in the 12th century.
Thank you dear Teacher Gill ❤
hello teacher Gill(。・ω・。)ノ♡
This is literally Canadian English
There is only one spelling of English words which is correct and then the incorrect American spelling 😏
