      to get to v14, or v15 and above you need to convert the project done in v13 with V13 SP1 first.

    So, if I have a S7 300 PLC "not supported by TIA", and I choosed not to click on that box, will the projects written in the PLC appear in TIA?, and can they be modifiable?

      @@hegamurl7434 Thanks xD I know. At the moment I work in the energy sector and there is a lot to learn (protocols, standards, devices ...). I also started studying RTUs (with ABB). I will try to commit myself and improve more and more and find my force. And you helped me a lot.

    Wow, looks great. But when I think about having to do this one day, I get scared. Can you talk something about tag migration? Few days ago I migrate tags by "proxy device" and by "Tag converter" as another way. Can you say, what is more effective? I love device proxy, because I have all tags in my WinCC project in different DB those was added in created device proxy directory. Tag converter load all in device tag table, that's not comfortable with huge data. But some people says, that they have bad experience with device proxy method. When you have 20000+ tags from several PLC you cannot check all of this manually. Love your videos, you know that))) P.S. Siemens Industry support site crash for 3 hours, when I want to download Tia converter last time xD

    This so nice and clean i wonder if all this is part of Device proxy, can´t find anything about it

    @johnhajdu4276 Před 3 lety +2

    There is a lot of problem during the migration. Of course it depends on the system. If you "Just" migrate a project from Manager to TIA, that is not that bad. If you also change the CPU from 31x or 400 to 1500, it makes more and more problems.
    Just doing the migration makes the Graphs unusable. It is better if you do the project from the start up.

      @hegamurl7434  Před 3 lety +2

      Of course, upgrading a real project is not as simple as shown here... there are MANY obstacles. There are whole Siemens Teams that don't do anything else then upgrading, a huge business!

    Hello!
    First of all, thank you for sharing your precious work!
    I have just a question. It is possible to do the inverse process? I mean if it is possible to create a project in the tia portal which is compliant with a Simatic manager environment.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi, many s7 programs /wincc cannot be migrated directly to TIA V15 which requires first convert to TIA v13 then to TIA V15., which very difficult also lot of Errors generated during migration ,some commands are not actually migrated some data type error and so on....

    • @hegamurl7434
      @hegamurl7434  Před 4 lety +1

      You are completely correct, the migration process is not perfect and there can be a lot of errors. But the general process is as described (which works pretty okay-ish).
      As for the V13: Theoretically correct, but I have forgotten to address that in the video! You don't need to migrate projects to V13. If you can not convert the wanted project to V15 directly, you can simply install V13 on the same machine (it's free and you don't need a license). V15 will recognize that V13 is installed and "use" V13 passively (without you noticing) to directly migrate to V15. That's how I do it! (I have V13,V14,V15,V15.1,V16 all installed side by side on my PC)

    Hi! Nice tutorial! I'm trying to migrate an existing program from Step7 to TIA. I have this problem: the code has been made on LIST configuration so i have some lines that TIA doesn't migrate correctly. On STEP 7 i have this kind of lines: UN #IN4 = L 3.2. On TIA portal i have an error because after migration this code line is traduces like this: UN #IN4 = %L3.2 and this adresse isn't assigned for a variable. How you can traduce the use of temporary L Stack on TIA portal? Thanks in advance i hope my question is clear enought

    Does S7 400( pcs7 ) works on Tia portal? ?

    • @hegamurl7434
      @hegamurl7434  Před 4 lety +1

      Generally yes, but not all of them. The best thing is to inform yourself first (simply googling it) if your S7-400 is available in TIA Portal. (I know there is a special software tool for it, but I forgot the name)
