2012 KTM 690 Rottweiler Filter Install, Re-map, and Ride

Installing the new Rottweiler open foam filter for my KTM 690 after discovering a bunch of dirt in the OEM airbox. After I re-map I take the beast out for a scenic test ride

I like TuneEcu on the 990, easy to adjust some cells and finesse the maps, o2's off etc.. Good video, glad the bikes feels better on the new map.

Did you say you were running open exhaust? I checked on Wings exhaust and they ship with Large and Small DB killers. The U.S. requires spark arrestors but I thought about just cutting that part off and using the large DB killer for more power. I want the Rottweiler intake also but I thought you have to buy the power commander. I didn't know you could reprogram the ECU. What program and connector do you use and is the program free? Where do you get the maps? I have 2017 model. Can you tell me what you would do? Would you mind explaining my options? Would the power commander allow me to change DB killers to the smaller one for road riding?

Hi, how are you liking the Rottie air intake system now that you have some K on it. Is it real worth the investment and is the intake noise manageable or does it get old after couple hours

could you post a close up picture of how the rubber boot (elbow) sits on your bike? on my 15 I'm having issues lining it up to seat properly. was it hard for you to install the part that you did not show in this video? thank you.

+Francesco Sardoni Kinda hard to see it all installed as is. I would recommend tightening it to the base plate first and then sliding it over the throttle body. A tiny but of lubricant on the inside of the silicone clamp will help it slide right on.

any leakage past the Rottweiler? I have leakage into my stock airbox as well just wondering how this has served you

So far it has been 100% reliable. No contamination in 3000KM of dusty roads so far.
