If many players who come out of Africa can manage to win world cups for other nations I hope one day sooner I predict Africa will win the world cup. One of my favourite teams ever ! I was 7 watching that WC mesmerized by Senegal team! Hope you guys make it to the semis at least in this one !
I am having goosebumps every time I watch these memorable moments it just take me in a trip back at my village in the north of Senegal where over 50 people use to be in front of the TV watching and supporting.
So proud of this team and the performances they shown.

That time Was the best period of Senegal history. Every one was excited, for me I used to wake up early in order to have a sit for watching the because there were only one Tv in my village in East of Sénégal.

This team blew up a surprise in its first participation to reach the quarter-finals and come out with a golden goal?! The African player is his biggest characteristic, strong personality, with not excessive confidence, with skills and professionalism in Europe. He helped them a lot... I remember the Saudi national team defeating them in Riyadh before they went to South Korea with a score of 2-3... There Senegal defeated France with a goal for nothing and Saudi Arabia lost from Germany 0 _8 It was a disaster

Me lembro como se fosse ontem esse jogo de abertura da Copa 2002 lembro de ter acordado bem cedo pra torcer por Senegal, que timaço com Tony Silva agarrando tudo lá atrás, a defesa bem postada com o capita Aliou Cissé de 1° volante os laterais que apoivam muito bem Ferdinand Coly , e Omar Daf a meiuca com Diao e Bouba diop, com um belo entrosamento no ataque comandados por El Hadji Diouf e o maestro Fadiga. Nunca torcir tanto por uma seleção igual torcir por Senegal nesse jogo, foi ali que começou meu amor é admiração por seleções africanas!
