I can imagine a situation, when Hol Horse joined crusaders and at some point of in a journey they are in a hairy situation, so Hol Horse decides to run away and Joseph is like: "How could you know the secret Joestar technique?!"

You know, I always think-
You all remember that scene in the hotel with Justice, where Hol Horse called for Polnareff to help him, and Polnareff ran off, saying something like, “Don’t you remember what you did to my friend Avdol?” Right? Well, what if Polnareff had, for some odd reason, gone back to help Hol Horse? He could’ve gotten the guy to his feet and they both would’ve beat it out of there, likely into that bathroom still. They would’ve needed to work together to stay alive, because at this point, both of their lives were on the line. And we know already that Hol Horse was doubting his allegiance to Dio, even trying to shoot him at one point. Don’t you think, if Polnareff would’ve helped Hol Horse, things could have turned out so much differently?! I mean, heck, maybe they could’ve even had character development together during that fight, who knows? So I’ll always sit around and think, “Dang, I wish Polnareff had gone back to help....”
But, alas, Araki decided, “No.”
I mean would you risk your life saving a person who you thought killed one of your closest friends.

Also, didn't Hol Horse try to warn Polnareff at some point? Polnareff probably isn't like this, but personally (if I had been in Polnareff's place) that warning probably would've gotten me thinking, 'Why did he do it? Why would he warn me? A truly evil man wouldn't do that.'

If Hol Horse had joined the Crusaders after killing Avdol, it would have been interesting to see Polnareff and him coming to terms with it (polnareff obviously hating him because he felt Avdol's death was his fault). Throughout the rest of the part, Polnareff learns to forgive Hol Horse, only to lose him to Vanilla Ice (instead of Avdol dying again). That would honestly have been a more emotional moment than Avdol's other death.

Hol Horse never had a spore in his head in the first place. He just worked for Dio for money. We can see that Polnareff and Kakyoin show very blatant signs of being controlled by Dio, but Hol Horse acts entirely out of his own will the whole time. Not to mention he even tried to assassinate Dio.
Hol Horse never had a head spore, he was just a coward. He says so in his monologue before trying to kill DIO.
If hol horse had joined anywhere, I'd assume it would have been after he was attacked by enyaba and judgement, where he was actually facing a common threat with the boys. Also I'm not sure that hol horse ever had a fleshbud; like tower of grey I assume he was just in it for his own reasons, and he even almost shoots dio at one point out of fear, which doesn't sound like something he'd do if he were brainwashed

Two nitpicks to make:
1) In my opinion, I don't think Hol Horse and Polnareff would've gotten along at all; I see them more as ironically hating each other because of their similarities.
2) Hol Horse almost certainly didn't have a flesh bud. The villains after Kakyoin and Polnareff are implied not to, as they are often motivated by money or bloodlust instead. Moreover, if Hol Horse did have a fleshbud, he shouldn't have been able to even think about turning on DIO as he did at the beginning of his episodes with Boingo.

Don't forget Daniel D'arby. Solid character with motivation, rationality, cunning, nearly defeated 4 Crusaders (Joseph, Polnareff, Jotaro and then Kakyoin since Jotaro wagered his soul too). Oh and Avdol admitted that he, himself would be an unfit opponent for D'arby as he can't maintain a poker face like Jotaro and would likely lose. So that makes 5 of the 6 Crusaders he would've beaten in just a game of poker.

Hol horse never had a spore, DIO promised money, he wants money, DIO was to powerful, Hol horse wasn't.
I honestly loved Hol Horse. Granted, it's hard to say that name with a straight face but he looked pretty badass and like he could've joined the crusaders at any given moment. I hope he or a similar rendering of him is featured in a later manga as he served as an interesting character.
It would have been such a easy transition and he has a unique enough personality not to be considered another Polnareff

Hol Horse, even without being a crusader, is a cool character. He appears a lot, and I love him for it. And he’s alive after part 3.

that's one of the things that bother me about jojo, the minor villians never return. they could be much more memorable and important if they showed up more than once
Part 7 did solve that somewhat by breaking up the introductions, while there were often cases of "stand of the week", those story arcs tended to be longer and with a smaller main cast and each minor villain took up a full arc to cover, as apposed to 2/3 chapters. Part 7 was possibly the best story out of all the JoJo's

Boingo at the end wanted to use Toth to help people. I always thought it would be interesting if Oingo and Boingo started working for the Speedwagon Foundation or something to help fight evil stand users.

@@DoctorPorkenfries but you mentioned FIGHTING evil stand users. But I could see them succeeding in stealth or if one of them made a distraction against them. (Zenyetta Specifically because of his ability.) But if they just threw themselves at other stand users,then that’s a whole nother story.

He already has a range, remember when Kakyoin escaped with a car? Hol Horse mentioned he can’t hit Kakyoin anymore because of his range.
