Amazing pages! Could you please do a demo on how you apply metallics (paint) to gain the consistent colour, and how you do (acrylic) backgrounds?
Hi !! I love your Avatar name lol !! Um yes i absolutely can !! I actually have a color with me video coming out soon which shows how i use the Coliro paint , for acrylic i can do a video as well but many times it needs 2 layers!! Acrylic is the hardest medium to use for beginners in coloring books, it takes a lot of practice and trial and error .

gorgeous pages! as always!!! i’m really hoping artists like RJ Hampson and Morgan OBrien just give up on getting any quality paper out of Amazon printing and give us a downloadable option. The paper is so bad!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful pages

Hi thank you Doodle ! Ya its different ! I only followed the water part and the rocks part lol , i just thought it was so cool it inspired me to start that page! I actually got a second copy of lost ocean at a used book store because the paper was so much better than mine !!! My copy of lost ocean is one of the first American Editions that came out so its the one with the crappy paper !! Later copies of JBs books have better paper . So i can always do that page again in a different way one day ! Hope all is well my friend !!

Thank you so much my dear friend !! The first few elements just come to me in a vision type thing idea, and the parts that dont i leave to the end and push myself to finish those parts so i can finish the page. The last parts of the page are always hardest for me because i dont have clear vision for them usually
In order to save cost, I'd rather see RJ Hampson go with a soft cover and put that savings into an even better quality paper. The newer paper still isn't what I would describe as good. Not worth the added cost for his current hardback books.

Hi Beth !! Usually i dont prep my pages, especially if the paper is half way decent. I do prep my pages in 2 instances. One when the paper is very thin, and the other if i know i want to use a lot of watercolor on a page. Hope that helps you ! And when i do prep its with Satin glazing liquid by Golden

Hi Deb !! I actually don’t do anything to flatten them, but sometimes i stack my books 📚 so maybe that helps? But i have heard one can Iron their pages to flatten them so i may try that
im a total beginner. what pencils/accessories would you recommend??
Hello dear ! I have a video of my favorite coloring supplies and will come out with another one soon , but for total beginners I would recommend whatever set you can afford of Prismacolors (if thats too expensive than brutfunner squares) , gelly roll gel pens, an electric sharpener (i like Jarlink)
Btw Maria Trolle twilight garden is a great beginners book 📖

Lol hi Michelle !!! I know i hear that a lot !!! My tip is to not set a time limit on it ! And leave it alone for a while, pick it up and do a little and then leave it alone again ! I need to do a video on that ! Seems like lots of people have this problem !! Lol, thanks for leaving me your thoughts ! Happy coloring dear ! Just keep coloring weather you finish a page or not it really doesnt matter, what matters is the process of fun , relaxation, and creativity !
