I respect Ms. Youngji a lot for making a place for herself in this group of legends, holding a part of the Kara legacy amidst loss + competition + expectations + internal pressure so gracefully while establishing her own voice.
I still remember the amount of hate she got from some KAMILIAs and casual fans when she was added to the group, essentially all the anger towards DSP for Jiyoung's and Nicole's departure was poured on her combined with the fact KARA was already an established group with 7 years of experience it was too late and hard for fans to accept a new member. But I am happy and glad to know that KAMILIAs are now happy to see her with KARA and accepting of her being part of the 15th anniversary despite of just having 2 songs under her belt.
it must be difficult for both the 3 members and Young Ji... I admired YJ the most because after all years of training then competed for the 1 spot in KARA just for a debut and 1 comeback later they disbanded, I mean for the other it might be enough, they've experienced everything, but for her it's was just a beginning and then it had to ended.....
That's why she's joining "Roommate" definitely help jer established who she is quickly. Her bubly personality and her mute laugh wins me over. And it was really nice to saw her makes friend with the other 2 members that was the reason behind her joining KARA.
I mean KARA was also her only chance, in a way other she joining KARA, not debut, move company or lastly joining APRIL.

@@shiningdiamond2383 it is.... I actually began to know KARA because of her in Roommate... then she began to active in more variety programs after KARA disbanded... but yeah it was really unfortunate for her...
DSP were really shady with what they did in adding Youngji but it is not her fault. The KARA members had signed contracts for 2 more years which every Kamilia knew but most casual fans didnât. Anyways, they believed it would just be them 3 to continue promoting. When Youngji was going to be added they thought she would be a member to just come in and cover Nicole/Jiyoungâs parts during concerts not an actual permanent member. Again it is not Youngjiâs fault but also the KARA girls had already planned to part ways. Reason why Youngji is still in DSP, her contract differs from the other members. Itâs easy to say you admire Youngji the most when it seems sheâs the one youâre most a fan of. But the other members dealt with so much that she wonât ever know besides what they share with her.
Hopefully this info will make you consider the other members who did their best and continue to do so, not just Youngji.

their looks might be similar but their image is totally different. seungyeon is the geeky quiet smart type, she hosts serious shows that show her intelligence, or animal shows, acting, etc. but youngji is bubbly, sporty and energetic like we see in roommate. their voice and stage persona is also different. so there's no overlap
Youngji really looked a lot like Seungyeon when she first joined. But they look quite different now somehow. Youngji has grown and changed a lot. The new haircut she has now also helps.
i think itâs mostly because she used to have a really similar makeup style to Seungyeon and also had rounder cheeks back then
I get sad for youngji cause this is her third song as group, even tho she got to debut in a legendary group she only had two songs so Iâm happy she get to be in the reunion and is okay with the members too
Yeah dw for Japan promotion back then she has one single album and one Japanese album under Kara and she's also participated in Karasia concerts 3rd n 4th tours.
