  • My Way (JACQUES REVAUX, CLAUDE FRANCOIS) played by Fabian Körner Tuba and Boris Björn Bagger - guitar www.BorisBagger.de , Mandolin Orchestra Ettlingen mandolinenorchester-ettlingen... arranged by Valdo Preema.
Fabian Körner was born in Blaubeuren in 2001 and initially started his musical career on the drums, but switched to the tuba at the age of 13 with his first teacher Christian Bolkart. After playing in various youth orchestras and winning first prize in the Jugend Musiziert competition, he auditioned for the national youth orchestra and began studying with Prof. Hirthe as a junior student. There he experienced some of his musical highlights, such as “Le sacre du printemps” under Kirill Petrenko in the Berlin Philharmonie and the Elbphilharmonie. He has been a full-time student in Prof. Dirk Hirthe's tuba class since 2020 and already occasionally substitutes for him at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe. He has also been a lecturer and teacher since 2021 and plays in the brass band “Viererlei”. He has been gaining a lot of orchestral experience as a substitute at Theater Lübeck since 2022 and spent 6 months as a solo tuba player in Oulu (Finland) last year.

I enjoyed listening to this performance, Frank Sinatra is one of my favourite singers and examples.
I was wondering if blowing such an instrument takes as much air when you sing or play the harmonica or the soprano, for I wonder how you manage playing the long notes or a few sentences without getting an inhalation ( well, it seems you don't inhale between the lines 😊)
Just curious... Because I sing, ( look for my CZcams channel)
    Greetings from Holland
