I Become Radioactive

  • This measurements are after second day of Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy. First day, small dose of Technetium 99 (Tc99m) is injected in my bloodstream for purpose of scintigraphy scan, then they made images. Today is second day, but this time it is under 'stress' by driving bike and getting higher blood pressure and hearth rate. During peak of the stress, they again injected the same dose of Tc99m into my bloodstream, then made scan again to compare scans in rest vs. scan during stress. Too bad that before recording of this video after urinating so lost part of the radioactivity. It was very high. Still, the whole thing worries me little bit...

      Yes, it was- But, by now almost all gone - part through urinating, part decaying. Remember that half life time is 6 hours. So, every 6 hours initial radiation level drop to half.
