Hello, I'm from Germany and currently planning a trip to Australia. But I'm not sure if I should to a roadtrip or use greyhound. Therefore it would be nice to know how your experiences with greyhound have been so far and if you can cover all major attractions by bus.

Hi Jacob, I live in Brisbane so thought I’d comment. You can get from A to B between major cities and towns by bus but you wouldn’t get to every major attraction because of the distance between them. Places like Brisbane and the Gold Coast for example cover a very large geographical area. I’ve taken buses and done road trips and really prefer road trips. It’s a great Aussie tradition. There are options for hiring cars/vans/motor homes in one city and dropping off in another, and of course you can make it cheaper by looking online or through hostels for other travellers to share vehicle hire and costs.
