So I just found out that this video is based on a Japanese horror movie, about a man who interviews several woman to be his new wife. The one he picks ends up being a sadistic serial killer who slowly tortures him to death. Gerards got great taste in movies!

They did very well in this video, Audition was an amazing movie and they truly did it justice.

Coming from an Asian person, I gotta say, this shit was super ahead of its time. Most other bands would've just casted a bunch of white people to reenact Audition, but not MCR.

I like all of their music. Someone asked me what my favourite album was the other day, and I didn't respond, because I don't think you can compare them when each abum is completely different. Yeah, alot of their old songs makes me nostalgic about when they used to sound like this, but there new stuff is also good.

If you owned Bullets you followed the scene. I’ll never forget because I was a big Thursday fan and Geoff Rickley was responsible for giving My Chem their first push… I heard Vampires Will Never Hurt You on some music site and thought “Nice! Sounds like a faster paced version of The Used sorta, but they also kinda got that AFI and Alakaline Trio “dark/moody punk” to em (Bullets is a DARK album… it’s Depression and Feeling Worthless/Aimless it’s entire Run Length)
But yes this album and Conventional Weapons are my favorite releases by My Chem.
I LOVED Revenge and was genuinely surprised how much they had tightened up in 2 short years… ( also I ALWAYS thought I’m Not Okay was/is one of their weakest and most straightforward tracks, especially within context to literally EVERY song on Revenge…).
However as I’ve aged i hold the specialness of Bullets and “remember that time period” nostalgia over Revenge… AND I listened to Three Cheers sideways and kinda burned myself out on some of it… and Parade was always my least favorite… never understood why people focused on that one so much… it just wasn’t THAT interesting or “epic” feeling to me… (also Brand New raised the bar on EVERY Band with The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me.., that’s a far more rewarding album imo)
But yeah I Loved Danger Days cause it dared to be different and I remember lots of fans calling Danger Days “garbage” cause they went colorful and full on Futuristic Post/Apocalyptic Punk.
And imo Conventional Weapons is equal to Bullets as it’s My Chemical Romance simply being My Chemical Romance again.
Gerard's tongue+ Frankies screams= Total epicness. :)

I love how this video is basically just a shot for shot of Audition from 1999.
This song has grown on me sooo muc. I used to think the video for it was creepy and the screaming was annoying but I listened to it once and I just wanted to keep listening till I liked it,and now it's totally top 5 on my favorite songs.
