She's such a breath of fresh air when it comes to female superheroes. She's kind and nice without being mocked or punished for it. Also, she's not a fighter or a tech genius, but is still capable and smart enough to get through dangerous situations.

@@asiv90 I know she wasn't mocked, but in other works of entertainment, the super nice hero would usually suffer or face resentment from friends and enemies for being too kind, but it never happened here, as Sersi got to act like herself here without others questioning it.

I do agree with that but there's really something lacking with Sersi in this film. She's supposed to be the leader, but we don't see her actively trying to step up as one. We didn't see her trying to contact Arishem until she's finally able to do so.
One of the power I would love to have. Think about it, you would never go poor. You would get all the resources you want. Plus you can make demolitions more fun by turning a building into a flower petal or glitters just for the heck of it.

I just love that Sersi is perhaps the strongest Eternal in the movie in terms of power but because of her nature and heroism she’s holding back. I think it’s a great dynamic between Ikaris (who everyone said was the strongest) who shows off his strength and powers more

Someone had made a good point and I just want to share, just in case some people never realized. The reason Sersi values humans so much more than anything else because she can get gold or any other valuable materials just by a touch. She gets to see a bigger picture and how precious life itself is. Btw, 1:05 was pretty cool.

I'd understand Sersi. Her docile nature makes her content with what she has. Immortality, perpetual youth, immunity to any disease... her power would be the least of her obsessions. She didn't even try to stretch it, a rock into air was trivial and fun for her, but unneeded. I guess none of the Eternals are consumed with the lust for power, only Ikaris with 'Duty'. Realized her transmutation is not just molecular, but add some cosmic energy, and she creates life and organic matter as well.
She underestimates herself. She did turn a rock into birds. Your point about the lack of desire for power is spot on. She willingly gave away her Uni-Mind power to Sprite, who wanted to kill her. Overall, it's a feminine take on the masculine superhero genre.

She's a walking replicator, in Star Trek series, replicators uses energy to create matter and vice versa. Replicators can also convert matter into something else the user desires. Much like Sersi who uses Cosmic Energy to change matter into something else she desires.

In the comics she is extremly powerful, the only one who can go head to head with wanda. In the movie they made her less powerful cauz if she kept her power she would easly fix the problem in the first 10 min lol. ( in the comics Sersi doesnt need to touch anything to turn it, she can just think about it and boom its changed, she can even creat reality and illusions by her mind. Just like wanda)
In the comics she and Thanos are the only Eternals that are relevant as well tbh. None of the others are really that popular. Sersi is always with the Avengers when shit pops of tho and Thanos is of course one of the main reasons shit pops off so they're both interesting.

Sersi from the comics was the original strongest female Avenger before Wanda got popular in recent years ,when she was part of the avengers Wanda is clearly shown to be less powerful than sersi ,also even modern Wanda while more powerful than modern sersi could still lose because sersi is a very powerful telepath who could scan the entire planet, give tony stark seizures, Held Exodus etc ..

She also requires focus, and her scale is limited to the unimind

Of course characters are gonna get nerfed. It's a live action film. Not comics. In comics, it's easier to show their powers. In live action, it's not upto one person because there are too many people involved. Everyone has their own individual thinking unlike comics.

Sersi is one of the most powerful Eternals, and one of the most powerful female superheroes in the marvel universe. I don't think people realized what being able to transmute objects actually means. She can literally shape matter in anyway she chooses, with anything around her. The only differences here is that they made her shrink to be seen as weak, as they did Wanda. But watch as we see more of her in the MCU, in the movies she wasn't able to transmute sentient life and has to be able to touch the object she needs to change. They're obviously setting her up for her big powers reveal like Wanda when she embraced her Scarlet Witch persona.
They made Sersi a thinker instead of a fighter but in the comics, Sersi could really do some damage against the entire Eternals team. She suffered from Mahd Wy'ry in an Avengers comic, went mad and opposed the Avengers and was whooping their ass, I compare it to the Dark Phoenix a lot. Tbh, it's clear to me that the Eternals know next to nothing about the extent of their abilities. We'll just have to wait and see how their powers evolve in the movies going forward.
I think Sersi's compassion and love for humanity makes her a potential leader in the next cosmic battle.

Eternals is only a starting point for Sersei's powers. I have a feeling she's gonna be more OP as she starts appearing in more crossovers within the MCU, and becomes a force to be reckoned with.
That’s what I’ve been saying the whole time. Eternals was an introduction to the characters. Further MCU projects the Eternals are a part of will address some shortcomings or inconsistencies. Personally, I think Arishem is the cause for the Eternals not being in their full glory. He’s a manipulative and deceptive god. I believe that the more the Eternals use their powers, the more powerful they get. Basically their powers go dormant due to not using them. But reactivate as the need calls for it. Arishem purposefully lied to them to keep them subservient to his cause.

I agree with you. One of the first scenes show her turning an ordinary stone dagger into a sharp sheathed blade. She can definitely pick up random objects and turn them into weapons. Being an Eternal with the ability to transmutate, I bet she can turn her clothes into vibranium or any similarly strong material. Plus, considering anything she wears is constantly in contact her, she'd be able to repair them in a split second.
Sersi's kindness and compassion are two of her best features in the movie but at the same time I think people are forgetting she's from a race of immortal superpowered beings who's original purpose were to protect humans from predators. I think the writers did her dirty by nerfing her so much.

They nerfed all but Ikaris and makkari both are still powerful and have their Standard abilities from the comics.
They had too for future powers development and if they were op as they are in the comics the movie will only took 20 minutes
it also allows them to work as a team, they can each use their powers to compliment each other which is nice

A rumored update is that she changed him into Adamantium. The story goes that the discovery of Adamantium inside Tiamut is the cause of a violent war between many nations for control. It’s rumored that Captain America 4 will pickup where Eternals left off.

I still remember really liking the visual effects of the Eternals movie there’s something so subtle yet effective about it.
The movie portrayed her so weak from the very beginning that we thought she had an "ok" ability but in the end it was the most devastating. The most powerful indeed. I legit thought Druig was the most op amongst all of them, but then Ikaris flexed his powers.Though, Thena was a killer machine, Gilgamesh was the brute of all brute, Kingo was explosive and Sprite just acted as the support for the team throughout the movie.

In the comic, most (if not all) the Earth Eternals can manipulate cosmic energy for flight and energy projection though several have focused their powers into specialties. Also, the Celestials created the Eternals and Deviants by experimenting on the dominant local species and return later to "judge" the planet. Other known Eternals/Deviants are Kree and Skrull. Most of the Skrulls are Deviants, having exterminated their Eternal counterparts (save one) and normal Skulls.

As a combatant, her superhuman physicals would literally maker her near unstoppable if she had fighting skills like Natasha or Shang Chi. And she could mix that with and literally be like Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist in combat with her transmutation.
They nerfed her powers from the comics A LOT, but she still has potential to be too O.P. for the MCU. I hope we get at least one movie that showcases her true potential at her current levels of power

perpetual metamorphosis, illusionism, weapon manifestation, man, peter petrelli would have a field day shaking the hands of the eternals if ever he can cross universes. technopathy you can get that from micah sanders and tony stark, superstrength and speed you can get from a bunch of mcu characters aside from ikaris and makkari. sersi, sprite and thena are the rare ones.

Maybe I am remembering the Marvel Lire on Celestials wrong, but isn't the penalty for killing a Celestial the death of all life on the planet where the Celestial died as that world just proved itself a threat to them? So she basically just screwed everybody.
