i've asked guys out twice. It's definitely not "hard", but just not an appealing method, because i don't have the urge to pursue or chase after someone. I think most people feel the same. Most girls, excluding sluts or attention whores, would like it if a guy went up to them first. And i think that's why guys don't get asked out often.
