£26 plus movie tickets are a joke, but cinemas have always charged stupid prices but were gullible enough to pay it 😢
Have you got a Vue? They have just opened near me. It’s £4.99 or £9.99 for IMAX.
DJ, my wife and I have been watching your vids for years - fantastic stuff. Appreciate all your hard work and loving the new channel. We wondered, given your love of music and background in singing, if you'd do a song on a vlog?
Not worth £26. I always get snacks/drinks from the supermarket and sneak them in for the kids. Lots of other food options at the o2.
Does the VIP include an area away from screaming kids and people who refuse to turn their phones off? If it does I'm all in.
When I was young my mum told me to be careful of the middle aged man at the back of the cinema on his own!!! 😅😂 I hope you enjoyed your day 👍
Did you shit yourself?
That looked like typical canteen food... If you want the VIP experience, then Everyman cinemas are your best bet... They feel luxurious and special and the cocktail bar waiting rooms are very grand... They also bring the food orders to your cinema seat.
That VIP Lounge seems alright you know, Darren. £26 for all that. It seems like good value, to be fair. Chinese food; pizzas, hotdogs before we've even come to mention all the cokes, pepsis and nachos you can handle.
They seem to look after you there. Its great that you can visit as many times as you like to watch films once youve paid the club fee.
I love fresh, warm popcorn.. I like it salty rather than sweet . I noticed you grabbed yours thiugh from the fridge. I find it comforting eating popcorn watching a movie..Always have done ,
I would snack before the curtains opened but i would also make sure i wasn't too full to snack again on a big carton of popcorn while the movie is actually playing.
If you eat enough in the prelude to the movie you dont really need to return to the club and go again during the interval.
Anyway, Darren, i found this video was different and enjoyable.
You’d pay at least £10 for popcorn and a drink at the cinema so for another £16 you get a good spread I reckon plus take some bottles of water with you like Darren said.
what i hate with no lim food is i get what i can eat want more then ok get more but you see peopel even kids pilling it on and leave half i totaly hate that so much waste xx
Was totally unaware of this option but given the price and selection I’ll give it a miss
Appreciate showing this option ❤
Hi DJ I saw the Bob Marley film last week it was brilliant I’m a huge Bob fan but even if you are not definitely worth a watch just a beautiful human
Thank you for sharing, don't think I will be eating there as I tried lots of Cinema food and only the popcorn temps me now. Brave man trying those noodles Darren .
Hi Darren, it's Louise. Nice video, hope you enjoyed the movie, food looks good cauliflower cheese looks great I love cauliflower cheese. I like the music in the background of the video it's brilliant. Thanks 😊😮
Thanks so much
Another great video - thank you 😊. Hope you have a great weekend 💫.
Those noodles looked beyond the pale, I wasn't expecting quality and they certainly were not that
I used to have a odean cinema card £150.00 a year Darren John good video
👍🏼🙂🙏🏼
@@DarrenJohn Spelling incorrect ODEON - God those PEARL & DEAN pa pa pa pa pa .... drove me mad but ICONIC
I suppose if you’re a big eater, the price tag might seem a little more palatable, but for us mere mortars, yowzer.
I think I’d sleep through the film after all that ..
Amazing, but the wife and I are members at the same cinema.... Never been impressed by the quality or the the selection of the food, but still worth every penny. And we never mind paying for the VIP may be worth it.😊
Seems ok all in. It’s freezing here in Glasgow. Another fab vlog. Thanks again for sharing. 🥰☀️🥰xxx
quality as always mate
Thanks for the heads up on that. So you eat before the film, fall asleep, wake up before the film finishes, miss the film and eat more. Not a very good idea. See the film then go eat, would be better. I won’t be doing that. I like my comfort food with quality. £26 at the City of Spice will do nicely instead.
Nice One Darren 👍,
I've done VIP at O2 and Sheffield, there's only 5 or 6 that do it in the country. London and Sheffield are the closest 2 to me in Northamptonshire!! I haven't been cinema yet this year but do want to see the new Ghostbusters at the end of March 👍
Haha - full belly, warm, comfy seat - I would be snoozing through the film. x
Looks a nice place Darren .
Ala cartè,more 'orse'n'cart😢Times have changed, they do as one gets older 😢 better than the alternative. Thought that the noodles lacked a sauce. For me retro. Hotdogs,Kie Ora in a plastic cartons & maybe a choc ice😅. And always chips on the way home ( that newsprint took days to wash off). The brief glimpse of the film lounge, looked amazing ❤ Hope you enjoyed the film& your popcorn. See you in the next one Allan&Family
I can't remember the last time I went to the pictures probably et lol
I liked that film. Went to Abode in Canterbury on your recommendation this weekend too, it was great xx
I remember as a boy goin to the ABC in luton .. the hotdogs were conveniently located at the entrance as the smell used too make me drool ... cheap n nasty but tasty AF .. Good vlog dear sir and I may try this out ❤❤
6:18 nice cam'ron hey ma ... In the background music
Like you said good value for cinema prices 👍I hope you enjoyed the film 🎥🌭🍿Thanks DJ 🤗
Think I’ll give it a miss.😏
Excellent xx 😊
I wouldn't pay that much for buffet food. Big Cinemas are ridiculously expensive.
There is a tiny cinema in Wells Somerset that charges £5 a ticket and the snacks are really cheap. Give me that every day.
Thanks for sharing with us DJ....good to see what you can expect at the VIP lounge.
As you said, if you were to buy drinks & 🍿 popcorn & maybe some nachos or a hot dog, as well as paying for the film, you'd pay more.
So not such a bad deal & the pizza 🍕 did look good....be nice if they had some soy sauce for the 🍜 noodles 👌
Lizzie 👌🤗🥰
I’m so looking forward to going to the Galaxy movie theatre this August. Only difference is you sit in the big reclining chair and order your food then they delivered to you before the movie starts. Mind you it is in Canada 😊
Thank you for showing this one though Darren 😊
Sounds great
Haven’t been to the cinema in a long time but agree love the comfort £26 all in doesn’t seem that bad as if you go to cinema in Dublin it it very expensive Good review Darren xx👍👍
Looked good in there DJ. Like anything, if it works on the day and suits then spend the money mate.
Glad you enjoyed it. 😘
When I took my son to Wonka recently, there was a family who had somehow smuggled in a full Burger King meal for four and several large packets of sweets. I had to move seats. Good film though!
Yuk 🤢
Sweets is fine, but Burger King is taking the pee!
Nice one mate, I was up that part of London last week-could of met up and gone Cinema!
That food looked alright-worth the price I would say.
couldn't have that cauliflower cheese/pizza as Lactose Intolerant/allergic to Whey 🙄
Do they still do the vegan pizza there as well, can't see it on the website for the one at 02-but at least they still have the vegan ice-cream options!
What popcorn did you have sweet/salty or a bit of both Darren??
Oh and what did you think of: Wicked Little Letters-from what I have seen advertised etc looks alright!
Food? You took one for the team there Chief. Diabolical.
Good video DJ am a regular at the cinema, wouldn't go VIP though i dont think its worth it.
Does the job I guess . I got to my local on a Monday cost me a fiver to watch a movie , there’s a Wetherspoon over the road😂
To answer the title of the video. Quite frankly no. Im fine with regular seats. And when it comes to the food and drink. With the exception of Cinema popcorn. I NEVER buy anything from the cinema food and drink section because quite frankly I don't like that they charge a premium for the same thing you can cheaper elsewhere. I always grab a bunch of snacks from either the co-op or Poundland beforehand. (that rymed) lol. A packet of M and M,s for instance. £3.99 in a cinema. But it's £1 in Poundland. Huge price difference.
I remember many years ago two of my cinemas actually tried to stop people bringing there own food and drink into the cinemas. Stupid Idea because they scrapped that idea in only 3 weeks because they lost a lot of customers with that controlling approach. Just lower your damn price's and people will buy it more often.
The food looked hideous. This is not my idea of VIP. They should be ashamed of charging £26 for the food and a better seat. You've probably saved a lot of people from being shafted. Over £83 for 2 people if you are not a member. Hats off to you.
Hope you enjoyed the movie food didn't look great but as you say it is what it is. Cheers.
it all looks very good, the food was ok, i dont really like popcorn, by the way, how is the diet? looks like mine, not very good and too much junk!
£26 is a lot for that food plus Cinema Ticket price of £10?
Thank you as I was considering it an it’s across the road 😂
I get 2 free tickets a month to a vue cinema with sky, can't use them because I'm in the sticks now. Let me know if you want any
Love it
Hope you enjoyed the film , x
Hi Darren I want to see this movie too was it any good?
Considering they call it vip those noodles with chicken looked bland,id of had a pot noodle for 75p from morrisons or some proper street food of your choice or a visit to Burrough market for quality as regards the cinemas i use to go often but i haven't been for years,I've never ever gone too my own cinema in Wetherby I've only used Harrogate, leeds&york it don't figure does it.id sooner wait awhile before the picture becomes available later so i can watch @ home,i used to love going too the cinemas, during the war they reckon there was 60 cinemas in & around leeds they've all virtually gone now,2,to 3 thousand would pack in some now there all multi cinemas some outer towners.they come & go these fashion trends just like 3d crap.
We sneek little bottles of wine or Prosecco and nibbles in haha
I think the selection of food to choose from is really terrible. It isn’t even a selection but hope you enjoyed your popcorn and film. Sainsbury does a lovely popcorn which is hazelnut and chocolate, very nice.
Hi Darren, keep the heat lamp food unfortunately mate 😢
So so Darren, when I see what you can get it's almost nothing. Some dry noodles and some pizza. That's it what I see. Popcorn and ice cream I don't count as food. So that VIP is in terms of food disappointed for me.
Ohh that's my to do watch.
I'm not a big foodie to be honest but I agree about have what you can afford now I love beer and regular pay £6/10 a can of beer that's my thing and curry never have maccys KFC BK cook my own food and swill it down with good beer 👍
Cheers DJ. Remind yourself to put soy sauce on noodles.
I'd want unlimited cocktails and beer for that 💰
Presumably you can eat after the film as well which gives it value. Also is there a bar there to enjoy a couple of pints 🍺?!?
You pay for alcohol
🙂🙋♀️
Enjoy buddy . Like you sometimes I have a bit of time on my hands has I have retired early and what to do to feel my day. I thought about going there well not at the O2 anyway closest one to me is Chelmsford anyway buddy enjoy yourself your London friend stu. 🙂
How was the film ?
Good
The food looked terrible, they could do so much better at £26 per person I would have asked for my money back.
I’d pay 18 a month for this…. We don’t have that opportunity in United States
not worth it mate
Decent for what you get but I would be in the toilet after eating that processed chicken
They don't have intermission at our cinema
That’s a bargain to per month for Cinema but sorry food looked, I’m sorry to say, absolutely awful.
That food looked shite DJ. IMHO I wouldn't pay a fiver.
4.99 at my local Vue cinema 📽️
What film did you see or did miss that bit
Walk along to ikea and get a hotdog for 85p
Did you watch anything good darren
I mentioned
looks awful lol looks toughthe noodles the pizza looks ok i pef zero coke not a pepsi person
So you found it all looked awful apart from, the chicken and pizza- I thought that currey looked alright as well to be fair!
I didn't think the nodles looked tough!
@@mikekaraokethe noodles looked like string didnt look nice
May be why cineworld gone bust
Why are the hot dogs chicken?
🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Possibly, might have Muslim/Jewish who don't eat pork so I quess
I noticed a halal sign near the pizzas so I quess no pork products
Not worth £26
What happened to the diet & Italian suit
People there might think they're VIPs, but they are all being mugged off.
I've seen better food at Non-league football grounds.
Film buff [Duff ] but local Kino closed
