I still think ShindoL's "How is birth not vanilla?" deserve that award. My guy left me baffled and enlightened at the same time.
ShindoL was so based its insane.
What...how is birth...wha?
...I have so many questions xDD
Istg that made me speechless
Idk men, that's still wild in context
_"Luffy was, in fact, a terrorist."_
In my opinion Luffy is an EXTREME hooligan, not a terrorist despite him declaring war on World Government for kidnapping Robin. Most of his actions are completely reactionary and usually don't harm civilians, it just happens that because Luffy calls himself a pirate (a type of violent criminal), the authorities treat him like one. Luffy doesn't call himself a criminal because he wants to fight the preconceptions of society, but only because it sounds cool to him. Someone with such half assed and personal attitude about fighting authorities doesn't count as terrorist in my book, just an emotionally driven mad man.
@@Edagui97 he is a terrorist he wants political gain by destroying things
@@Edagui97 he would be labeled a terroist in real life most definitely though, its not hard to get that title tbh. Radical=terrorist for the majority of history
Well he is a pirate
I mean he basically is.
I think the best part about Hasan’s bit is that he has
notes explaining why Luffy is a terrorist. 😂
First note. Hes a pirate
Nah niles episode was full of out-off context clips and its not even close he should’ve won
Recency bias
@@OnlyAiris lol and Hasan isn't? His episode aired much more recently than Nile's
@@Jl14478 that's what I mean, hasan's episode is the one with recency bias.
Edit: Personally, I voted for the chinese food doesn't exist. It's just so funny.
Niles episode wouldve won if the category was out of context the episode. That clip alone couldnt represent how baffling everything he say.
@@OnlyAiris oh damn my bad, thought you were saying it the other way around
I think what makes a great out of context clip is its ridiculousness and how fast can you explain it away, making uranium glass is very hard to explain and is ridiculous, but Luffy is a terrorist is not than ridiculous or hard to explain, but the obvious winner was supposed to be Chinese food doesn't exist because it is impossible to explain and I is extremely ridiculous
luffy is a terrorist is also unfunny because it's just pedantic. chinese food doesn't exist is hilarious because it's unintentional poor wording
@@aliasonarcotics it's also a cold take. People have been saying that since he broke out of One Peace Gitmo.
@g acc how is luffy being a terrorist a pedantic take, by the basic definition he's a terrorist. This is the eu definition of a terrorist.
EU definition of terrorism
unduly compelling a government or international organisation to perform or abstain from performing any act. seriously destabilising or destroying the fundamental political, constitutional, economic or social structures of a country or an international organisation. Luffy literally attacks and fights a government (marines) and is a criminal, while yes we support luffy and we see things from his point of view, doesn't mean he isn't a terrorist, I mean all of the terrorists who who have attack the UK,America and other countries, had friends and family's but that doesn't mean they didn't do horrible shit
@@theCragiestSloth because terrorist is a subjective, pejorative term that is essentially meaningless. 'unduly' is already a completely subjective adjective. who is deciding what is the 'proper' way to compel a government to do stuff? the word terrorist is only useful to tell you that the guy using the word wishes to paint the guy he is labeling in an unfavourable light
Luffy in every sense of the word is a terrorist. Hes a pirate specifically so he's a terrorist on a boat. Its not that hard to comprehend.
I have no idea how anyone can watch Luffy telling Sogeking to burn the flag of the WORLD GOVERNMENT and not think of Luffy as a terrorist. That shouldn't have been that surprising
Chinese food doesn’t exist is a way better out of context clip
I feel that most people can guess what that actually means. the different regional cuisines don't have a uniting style which is also distinct from countries other than China. Cantonese food exists, Szechuan food exists, Hunan food exists etc. they are all foods inside China, and the Chinese food outside of China like General Tso's chicken is completely foreign to the Chinese man.
Garnt is right on multiple levels. Chinese food like takeout isn't really Chinese, Chinese food isn't real.
Chinese food, like one cuisine that is both representative and exclusive of all 1.5 billion Chinese people, also does not exist in the same way there is no Chinese language but there are like 6-10 languages spoken in China.
Any sentence from the NileRed episode deserves to be the winner
I knew the luffy lime was gonna win! 😂 it was so left field
The last seconds of him just opening the envelope and reading it is also a good out of context clip
He *IS*
I mean..... luffy being a terrorist is not out of context because he's a pirate.....
"TRASH TASTE AWARDW"
Connor made a typo the first time and it stuck
Ok hold on the dude was making URANIUM GLASS and its the anime take that people go for, cmon guys
i mean it's trash taste
There are far worse/better things from that episode than being careful with making uranium glass
@@cywersswivelchair4564 so true lmao
Bruh the whole of the NileRed episode should be the winner
Holy crap Garnt got that drip
Im not a terrorist
riyal
Says the person who ordered his sniper to burn the World GOVERNMNET Flag.
Tell that to the World Government lol
Out of *left* field?? Eh?
Ha
*Our* out of context clips
@@TAP7a Hahahahaha, how it should be.
Luffy's a crackhead
That's fitting lol.
HASAN WAS SO RIGHT THO
He is right though.
Its no more weird than the Hey Ash Whatchya Playing video on Red Faction Gorilla. I have no idea how that won. When he said it I went "I mean, yeah. That goes without saying."
im sorry but uranium glass? what ? that def shoulda win
Anyone know wut clip the chinese food quote was from or was it in a full podcast instead?
GARNT WAS ROBBED
Hasan is just 100% correct though
Isnt every pirate kind of a terrorist?
Technically no, since a terrorist requires an ideology to promote through fear.
Most pirates are just thieves. Its like saying the guy who mugged you outside 7/11 is the same as Osama Bin Ladin.
Recency bias
Rigged. NileRed should’ve won that.
See he's the thing about luffy.... he is buuuuut, he's doing it for the right reasons. By taking out the wrong people in power and taking out other terrorists
Hasan's the same guy that said the US deserved 9/11 right?
Hasan❄️❄️❄️🤡🤡🤡
I always get annoyed with that Luffy take. Sure, he goes against corrupt governments, but only because a) they pick a fight with him first b) Luffy's crew or new friends gets victimized or c) authorities have something that he wants. Examples:
Wapol: picked a fight with Luffy and insulted the symbol of pirates way of life by shooting Hiruluk's flag.
Crocodile: Luffy befriended Vivi and wanted to help a friend out, not to mention him and and the others were already on Crocodile's hit list.
Ener: a giant prick who picked a fight with the Straw Hats just to strike the fear of god into his citizens. Luffy then wanted to deal with the guy directly and help the new friends he made along the way by beating that ass hole and by ringing the golden bell to tell his friends on Jaya that the golden city does exist.
World Government and CP9: Luffy just wanted to get Robin back.
Moria: Luffy wanted to beat him in order to get Brook's shadow back and finally get a musician for the crew who's also a funny bone man.
Celestial Dickheads: Luffy only raised a hand against them when they shot Hachi and tried to enslave Camie. Luffy had already ignored a slave dying and Charlos letting his dog piss on the corpse.
Impel Down: Luffy just wanted to help his big brother. It only became the world's largest prison break because of Buggy, Ivankov and Crocodile breaking other folks out to bolster their numbers.
Doflamingo: Law was the one who suggested the alliance and in Luffy's mind it meant becoming friends. In Dressrosa Luffy was totally distracted by the mera mera no mi and put everything else on hold for the tournament. Remember, the ones who released all the slaves were Usopp and Sabo, Luffy just had fun riding Ucy in the arena.
Big Mom: Luffy just wanted Sanji back and others wanted that too, but also the road poneglyph.
Kaido: road poneglyph, save his new friends from poverty, help samurai friends to avenge their lord and country, the final goal of allying with Law.
Becoming the pirate king: a title symbolising how awesome and free he is. My mind may change in the future when he tells us readers what his mysterious true dream is.
Because his conflicts with the authorities are so emotionally driven instead of ideologically driven, it's hard for me to call him a terrorist when his motivations are not so different from a random street punk. He usually doesn't involve the civilians either unless they attack him first.
He is following the definition of terrorism but he's a freedom fighter
Just because it's emotion based doesn't mean it's not terrorism, alot of real life terrorist attacks were pure emotion based, and also Americas has fought wars and still received terrorist attacks, so the whole luffy was attacked part of your comment doesn't actually matter as it doesn't change the fact it would still be labled terrorism
Also, his father is a better representation of what terrorist is
Yes pin
hasan is a PoS.. and i cant stand him in anything i see him in. but other than that love the show lol
