Just bought myself one of these little boxes from Tech Wizard that came with a free air mouse which is great as i didn't know i could use it on my 32 inch non smart tv which it works great with and so i am pleased with my purchase and the box is very well made and having the added bonus of being ablt to use it on my tv is even better as it serves my car and in the house as well.
From my experience these AI boxes aren't always just plug n play. I am on my third device - a Carlinkit 4g X 64g, which although works in the car it was bought for, a Genesis Electrified G80 at least so far, is at the same time virtually unusable in my other car, a DS3. Although both car's have wired Carplay and touch screens, in the DS virtually every single time the device loads nothing will play, or inexplicably you will lose volume. The previous device a M.I.C AI Box of similar spec to the Carlinkit started out ok but then after a while would continually reset and reboot, which like the first device, a less powerful Carlinkit Mini would appear to overheat. I do doubt that the technology is quite there yet, given that they have to work in all makes and models of vehicles. My view is if going to get one of these albeit very clever units, purchase from somewhere that is happy to accept returns, and extensively test it in that actual vehicle its intended for. Finally if it works in one car don't always expect it to be trouble free in a different model of car.
Just ordered my Android 13 Tech Wizard mmb to use in my Daf XF new gen which is android auto/carplay compatible. I hope it works lol.. Update. It works perfectly 👌
I bought one and just set it up in my MG4. Plugged into the Android Auto USB socket. Only issue so far is that after turning car on I can't see how to bring it up on screen unless I unplug and plug back in. Any ideas?
I have one of these though mine was directly from the manufacturer (ie not thru TechWizard), but from what I see in your video it's exactly the same device. Yep I think it's really cool too. I have one question though, just out of curiosity, you mentioned about being able to change the dpi screen settings to be able to have more displayed on the screen. Can you kindly explain how you would do that.? Thank you

I've installed this but when using music on android auto, the siri voice volume overrides and my volume doesn't increase. I have to make an outside call and my main volume then takes over. How do I correct this?

Hi, great video as usual. Will this unit or any specific mmb allow me to connect a Bluetooth speaker and control it with m 10.1” joying head unit? I have a factory miralink head unit so my question is, can I install the miralink app from the app store on the unit and get Android on my miralink head unit? Should work since it works on an Android phone, but I'd appreciate you test it.
The only way that you'd be able to use an Android phone in a sort of similar way is through mirrorlink, which is a dated technology which requires the manual connection of the phone every time. Even then you won't get the other stuff like wireless Android Auto ect
Is there any add on's like this that add CD, DVD to a head unit that is missing one? Alpine do one but it is $$$$ any other brands? Wish to use them for mp3 storage. BTW that box start up would get old fast.

It would plug in a same way as the ICM3 kit I designed, however you won't get Apple Carplay or any hands free phone options. If you search ICM3 kit on CZcams, you'll find what I'm talking about
@EFC1878Mark I had to return my one, all the apps took 5 mins to load & google maps constantly crashed. It was like trying to run windows 10 on a 20 year old pc. What do I recommend? It all depends on your application. My car didn't have car play but it had a TV tuner that I wanted to output the display to. So o ended up using an Android TV box with a Ublox 7 USB GPS receiver. The performance was far superior! When it comes to car play connectivity. I dont know. I just needed the hdmi out.

Are you asking because your factory head unit doesn't have Apple CarPlay?

Most likely, but it would be pointless because the ATOTO A6 is already an Android head unit and you can install Netflix ect on it already
