All of my DIY carbon, aluminium or polycarbonate parts are cut with a jigsaw and drilled with a hand drill.
Most of my materials like Carbon Fibre, Aluminium, polycarbonate and hardware like screws, bolts and nuts are purchased from Ebay Australia but most of what I use is easily found just by Google searching the material or hardware you require.

Good video. Nice bash session. Well, it didn't look like you really broke anything.
Just a re bent motor mount, I had already bent it and hammered it flat and stripped the plastic spur which was kind of expected😅

@@rccrazy GPM make a nice heavy duty motor plate for them. I started a few years ago with a REMO. there's not much of the original left, but they're a great cheap way to start.
Yes very cheap even after adding some traxxas parts to them and very capable as we've seen😯
I did look at the GPM one but I decided to get the Traxxas branded 6061 version, have to get that swapped over soon, miss driving the SCTs already😅

Yes same as all RCs when it comes to personal opinion or preference, I love the Short course look and the way the shocks act essentially after watching the full size ones racing on the street circuits🤯
They do belong on a dirt track not the skatepark though😅

It's the same setup as I had in it last time we raced them, 3665 3100kv, Wp-sc8 esc and big pinion, it's the 4s, I normally run 3s when driving with you.
@rccrazy sick!! For my slash from memory I am running 13T pinion gear and 54T spur gear which I think it's stock standard gearing.
Oh by the way, I think I have managed to fix the sloppiness of my wheels. I realised according to the parts diagram I was missing a 5x8x0.5 washer, and the parts diagram showed me that the washer was supposed to sit in between the steering hub bearing and the wheel axle pin. And I also fitted another washer between the wheel itself and the wheel nut.
But however there is still a bit of wobblyness in the front, I have tightened both up and bottom 3x12 size screws for both sides, but I think there just worn out.
Yes that is stock gearing for a slash 4x4 I believe.
And that's good you worked out that slop in the hubs, remember the front will always have a little movement being 3 different pieces but yeah you may need to replace them if it's too much wobble👍

Took my crawler out for the first time in ages a week or so ago, I struggle to enjoy crawling for much longer than a few minutes, because it's so slow paced my PTSD symptoms creep up rather fast then I freak out and have to go home🤦
That's why I bash my cars so hard, keep my mind active and alert so I don't think about the invisible fire I smell and hear😵💫
@@rccrazy Thats fair and im sorry you have to deal with that. Im glad something helps though, and it being rc just makes it better. My newest "crawler moment" consists of a HB Toys R1011 with a surpass hobby 4370kv motor and 45A esc combo. The thing rides wheelies like none other and still crawls as good as the stock esc from the truck, (not that it was very good,) lmao!
Nice bashing. I love and hate stakeparks at the same time. You should get the traxxas maxx slash. Look at thunder rc he sends it to the moon and it takes it.
Yeah I'm the same, it's so much fun but just deadly for even the toughest of RCs at times.
I would love to review the MaxxSlash but I definitely don't have $1300 at the moment,but at the same time I personally think all traxxas cars are between $200-$300 overpriced going by Australian dollars, whole reason I got a Remo and not a Slash, $1000 or $300?
