I love your reviews!
thank you for giving attention to the pen! I love to use tablet to take notes and most reviews do take near the same care as you do
Initially I was put off by the price, thinking it was an Android tablet. Knowing that it's a Surface competitor and has pretty high specs makes the price a bit more palatable.
Same. They should put a freakin sticker on it that it has windows as OS
Hi! Considering that the M pencil is very expensive, do you have any alternatives with Palm rejection to recommend with that device?
The i3 to make baskc thing is suffisant?
Hello! Thank you very much for your review. So far, the only review from an artist on this laptop. He was very interested in me for drawing. I'm just using Clip Studio and it's a pity that the laptop is somehow bad with lines. In drawing manga, lines are very important. Will have to keep using XP-PEN artist 15.6 pro until I save up for Wacom. And so I wanted a compact laptop with an OLED screen for drawing :)
I hope you did not go for a Wacom. I have been using this tablet with a paper like screen protector and it works just fine for me.
I just switched my Lenovo yoga c940 for the Matebook e i7 and added a ssd 990 Samsung, the only thing is that the fan is constantly on
Do you know if the 8 Inch Y700 Lenovo Legion Tab is gonna be compatible with the Precision Pen2?
no, but Y700 2023 whork whith lenovo pen
Jeebus more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tabs! And priced to compete with MS Surface Pro's, too at that. Am personally not convinced. Regardless of the tablet though: Great thorough & informative review, Teoh; Kudos!
The same spec Surface Pro 8 in the UK is about £400 more expensive and then you have to buy the Surface Pen and keyboard adding another £330, they come included with the MateBook E. So is the SP8 worth £730 more than this? The negatives of the Matebook E, are maybe 1-2hrs less battery, only one USB-C, and no backlit keyboard. Whilst the MateBook has a better display (OLED) and is slimmer and lighter. It is of course running Windows so it far more useful as an X86 machine than a Tab S8+, but the Tab is a better tablet. There is no right or wrong though I think it represents fair value.
It’s difficult to compare with Samsung tablet because this runs Windows which is more functional, as it there are very few things Windows can’t do.
Anyway in US, Surface Pro price is better since it has been out for so long
what would you prefer - surface pro 8's 120 Hz display, or matebook E's OLED?
I actually don't really see the big deal with OLED even though the colours are indeed more vibrant, and contrast better. A good LCD can still look good. I may prefer LCD because there's no risk of burn-in.
Such a beautiful device. If they could just make these with ARM chips with similar performance to Apples's M1 and battery life, they would fly off the shelves. I would buy one without question.
It is intel i5 not ARM chip
There's the Matebook E Go available in china with windows 11 ARM and 14 hours of battery life. Not yet available for the global market thougg
The problem with arm chips is that they either emulate x86 soft with very poor performance or don't support them at all.
ok, now whe have 2023 version, with intel 12th...
What Windows tablet do you recommend the most that works seamlessly with Paint Tool SAI?
Right now maybe Surface Pro 8
@@teohontech7141 Thank you 🙏 If this is not too much to ask, I'd love if future Windows tablet reviews can test out Paint Tool SAI, its the few programs that dont have ios/android port
Hello 👋👋
Huawei pencil first Gen. Is going to work for this Tablet? Or do I need the second gen? Thanks for answering😊
First gen should work
great tablet
Tell me, please, in krita, photoshop, etc. is it convenient to draw on it?
They work alright for drawing
Hello! I am considering buying a laptop, but I am not quite sure that it can suit me. Have you worked on it in toon boom stiryboard pro? In particular, I am interested in whether pen pressure sensitivity works in this program. Because just for these purposes, I bought an acer ezel concept d and had to sell it just because of this problem.
I'm not sure. What's the problem with the Acer? The pressure sensitivity doesn't work?
Yes, pressure sensitivity does not work. I believe that having a stylus and a touchscreen does not guarantee that it will work in all programs. Toon Boom Storyboard pro is a very popular program among filmmakers, but there are very few reviews for it. If you could test the capabilities of the stylus in this program, I would be very happy.@@teohontech7141
It could be a software issue because the hardware is definitely capable. Even if you get another pen computer, the same thing could happen.
which drawing app would you suggest to minimize the jitter?
Affinity Photo and Clip Studio are good
@@teohontech7141 is there any way to run android app on this other than bluestack?
Why would you need to run Android apps when you can run Windows apps?
@@teohontech7141 i have a huawei tablet, and hate the inbuilt apps, feels like bloatware
is it the same in the matebook e?
It's less than a handful which can be easily uninstalled. MatePad Pro has a lot I know. A page with icon folders with bloatware apps in each folder.
is there a fan inside? At the amazon webside germany there is a "annoying" fan described. I wonder wether this Fan is inside the keyboard or inside the Tablet?
Fan is inside the tablet
@@teohontech7141 thank you!
I have to say, you'll hear the fan.😅
You'll also feel the heat if you do some heavy work.
Wow. This beats the Asus Zenbook Slate by far...
whery thank u!
Please which one is better for drawing and digital art, matepad pro 12.6 or matebook e?
At the moment, not the Huawei tablets. Go with Apple, Samsung, Microsoft or the pen displays, e.g. Wacom, Huion, XPPen
@@teohontech7141 thank you. But I can afford just huawei for the moment 😅. So which one is better matepad pro 12.6 or matebook E?
@@richardcherqaoui5367 MatePad Pro because the battery life is longer. But MatePad Pro is running Harmony OS (Android) vs Matebook E is Windows
@@teohontech7141 I need a tablet that's going to fulfill my all my needs including drawing. I'm drawing occasionally BTW I'm not a professional one😅. If I got you well. You think that harmony OS is better?
@@richardcherqaoui5367 If you're not using Windows specific software, Android OS is alright.
Is it good for Adobe illustrator and photoshop? Or it’s slow
For drawing, it's normal speed
@@teohontech7141 thank u🙏🏻💐
@@hawraahusain578 hey, did you try using photoshop and illustrator? Is it slow? I was contemplating on picking this one but I chose a different tablet which has a stronger processor
@@jafargasanov9907 Hi. Honestly I didn’t install on it yet on it coz afraid it would slow it down😅
This or an iPad for drawing and portability?
iPad for the longer battery life
are you using a screen protector on the matebook? will it affect the pen performance?
There is no screen protector on this review. If you use glass (thick) screen protector, it may affect pen performance.
It possible to put hand on tablet screen and paint at one time?
Yes
@@teohyc mean write without hand artefacts . Right?
Depends on the app. Apps with pen only input will not do anything when hand or finger is on the screen
My penc3l won't connect woth my matebook e
Make sure Bluetooth is on
Can it be used to edit autocad plans ?
Not sure. You have to check if the app you use is available from the Google Play Store
@@teohontech7141 I mean can i run full autocad windows version smoothly on this device (i7) ?
the i3 version is ok in terms of price but has a rediculous amount of storage for a windows device. the i5 version is wayy more expensive.
i5 quad core 1.8Ghz may have some lag if the workflow involves plenty of apps. 16GB RAM helps. But I don't really recommend i3. The Surface Pro i5 is noticeable less laggy with heavier workflow.
Retry the test on Microsoft Surface Pro 8
SP8 has straighter lines and better taper
whaiting asus z13 review 🙂
Realy amazing but what about the price 😂
i return my back over price wasnt worth it!! Get lenovo the pen writing is better and drawing but for a second laptop will be ok
what model?
Thank you very much for fulfilling my request, But actually the device is not suitable for users, the designs lacks many features Thank you very much for fulfilling my request, but in fact the device is not suitable for users, the designs are missing features and support by Adobe, such as the iPad
It's running Windows. It can use all Adobe apps. iPad cannot use all Adobe apps
@@teohontech7141
I am not talking about the availability of applications between the two devices, but I mean this point 12:42 💔😔
That's just a problem with Medibang Paint Pro, not with Huawei
Is it possible to install Windows 10 on it? Or will it mess everything up in terms of drivers and the pen not being able to work anymore?
Not sure about Windows 10.
Да, можно. В России уже продаются такие ноутбуки с Виндовс 10 и 11.
