    Will this work for like 22 gague sheet steel, or even 16 gague? I'd like to make some templates in both thicknesses & they'd just be basic shapes, nothing even close to this intricate or detailed, but the main question & thought is, how well will this work on those thicknesses of sheet steel?

    Greetings…I tried this successfully and was impressed with the results. I do however need some advice about one thing. Wherever I attach the red wire to the metal piece really gets eaten up by this technique. I have to use a larger piece of metal than my pattern calls for. What can I do to prevent this? Am I doing something wrong? Thank you kindly for your reply.

    • @Cutart
      @Cutart  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello!! If You mean the wire gets eaten up. It's just because the wire is exposed. If you insulate the wire too or keep it above the solution then it won't get eaten up. Hope that helps.

    Thanks for this video - I have been trying to get a metal stencil made but too expensive. Now I can try this! Apparently Cutart cutters don't work on UK voltage - can a photography tool or Dremel cutter be used? What thickness sheet should be used please?

    • @Cutart
      @Cutart  Před 3 lety

      Cutart tools work perfectly on UK VOLTAGES. No other tool would work as good as Cutart due to their design. But you can try using a simple blade cutter X Acto or craft knife for the purpose.

      @@Cutart Thanks - I looked on Amazon to see about buying one and many reviews say they don't have uk plugs and only work on lower voltage than we have in the uk - so it put me off buying one.
      It looks a useful tool though!

      Hello!! It's about twice the thickness of a regular soda can. Our current model works on 220 v but we have an upgraded version that we are about to launch soon that operates on USB power supply. Please check our website www.cutart.in and post an enquiry for update and ordering.

    How thick was the metal that you use? And will a stencil cutter cut thru 2mm thick aluminum sheet??

    • @Cutart
      @Cutart  Před rokem

      Hi!! It's a thin piece of metal. Same as a soda can . Haven't tried this method on a 2mm thick metal sheet as it will take a long time to cut through. The Cutter will not cut through metal Directly.
