Let's continue to get into reading the Bible and be prepared for Christ's coming for His church that lives within us. Jonathan, you have helped bring me back to the Catholic faith that I was taught as a child. I saw your film and loved it. The cast was amazing and you part was touching. I was a teenager in the 70's and part of the world discovering my own salvation. When I meditate (October is the month of our blessed Mother), if I’m struggling to stay awake, I meditate on the mysteries and place myself within those scenes, I am greatly helped through 3 amazing and beautiful stories about the life of Jesus (Jesus of Nazareth; Passion of the Christ AND The Chosen), since we do not really know his face 100%, I must say I use the Devine Mercy image of Jesus, but the scenes from all shows help me to meditate; you’ve done an amazing job in bringing ME and millions of others closer to Jesus (up until 4 years ago, I was completely lost, I am so grateful and blessed that I’ve found my connection that I so desperately needed with our Lord and Savior. Hi Jonathan, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and though our ways are a little bit different, our objective is the same...the literal gathering of Israel (all who are ready to accept God, the Father, and His son, Jesus Christ, into their lives and hearts) prior to the Second Coming of our Lord! I LOVE The Chosen!!! And I LOVE your portrayal of Jesus! Up until this amazing series, Jesus was always portrayed as very somber. But God is our Heavenly Father. He created us with the ability to smile, so it stands to reason that He, Himself, smiles, too! And I believe the same applies to His beloved son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Jonathan, you embody what I imagine Jesus to be like...gentle, loving, able to smile and even laugh (not loud, raucous laughter, but gentle, sweet laughter), yet firm when necessary in order to get a point across for our own good. Jesus had God for a father and Mary, an earthly mother, and you do such an amazing job of bringing out both!!! I pray for you and the continued success of The Chosen! When I meditate (October is the month of our blessed Mother), if I’m struggling to stay awake, I meditate on the mysteries and place myself within those scenes, I am greatly helped through 3 amazing and beautiful stories about the life of Jesus (Jesus of Nazareth; Passion of the Christ AND The Chosen), since we do not really know his face 100%, I must say I use the Devine Mercy image of Jesus, but the scenes from all shows help me to meditate; you’ve done an amazing job in bringing ME and millions of others closer to Jesus (up until 4 years ago, I was completely lost, I am so grateful and blessed that I’ve found my connection that I so desperately needed with our Lord and Savior. Hi Jonathan, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and though our ways are a little bit different, our objective is the same...the literal gathering of Israel (all who are ready to accept God, the Father, and His son, Jesus Christ, into their lives and hearts) prior to the Second Coming of our Lord!
I LOVE The Chosen!!! And I LOVE your portrayal of Jesus! Up until this amazing series, Jesus was always portrayed as very somber. But God is our Heavenly Father. He created us with the ability to smile, so it stands to reason that He, Himself, smiles, too! And I believe the same applies to His beloved son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Jonathan, you embody what I imagine Jesus to be like...gentle, loving, able to smile and even laugh (not loud, raucous laughter, but gentle, sweet laughter), yet firm when necessary in order to get a point across for our own good. Jesus had God for a father and Mary, an earthly mother, and you do such an amazing job of bringing out both!!!
