This is why Dallas was inspired to hire him. He prayed for who would portray Jesus Christ. Jonathan prayed for his next roll with humility and asked for help. Christ brought Jonathan to a point that he would understand how to show the world who Christ is.

I think it would be very difficult to portray Jesus Christ. Jonathan, being human, cannot be divine. I honestly believe he will be inspired and carried through by the Holy Spirit and will give the best performance he can possibly do. He will have 100s, if not 1000s, praying for him to remain in good health (physically, mentally, and spiritually) to be able to do his best. He’s been amazing up to this point (release of S4) so no reason to believe it would be any different now. God bless each and every person who brings about this wonderful show-The Chosen-making a difference.♥️

@CrysMcKinney I worked in Entertainment industry for 5 years, so I know then time it takes to do a show or movie. I pray for them daily, the physical work, the time, but also the family from being in a production like that. I pray for them daily and have to watch with tissues. I can only guess at how consuming it is, but I can always pray. They have been a great part of my life and growth as a Christian.

I’m both excited and nervous, after hearing about Jim’s tough time with the stations of the cross.
I'm nervous. I don't want it to be super gory like Mel Gibson's portrayal. Yes it was violent. I get it. But if it's too violent in imagery I'll fast forward it. God bless 🙏

But I've most definitely thought of the deep, far reaching psychological impact this must have on the actors. No way they haven't been affected. Especially Jonathan. I know as a spectator/fan, I've been messed up by certain scenes for entire days sometimes a few on end. I had to pray and take naps because I was exhausted from crying. Like when Ramah (Yasmine Al-Bustami) was killed. Boy oh boy I was fit to be tied!! Angry, angry. I was messed up all day and just as mad with Jesus as Thomas was, for not saving her. I refused to watch the next episode for almost a week. Then I got over myself... 😂Or the Lazarus scene. I felt such a deep kinship to Thomas (Joey Vahedi)... I was just as mad as he was watching the Lazarus scenes. I cried so much throughout these 4 seasons. Both happy and sad. But Ramah!? Her father? Thomas? Oh my heart 💔.... . That roughed me up, alot. For days. Dare I say that I'm looking forward to season 5?...God bless you and yours Mr. Luke. Truly. In Jesus name, Amen 🙏 ✝️ 🕊️

Watching the chosen made me more in love with Jesus. I cried and made a lot of reflections.
My husband listened to Ben Shapiro last year, right after I watched "After Death", I have always been interested in what happens after we die, that threw me right into "The Chosen" because Ben Shapiro spoke about it. I fell in love with Jesus. Got baptized in March 17th 2024. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

I have watched season 1 thru 4 3 times so far, and I am not ashamed to say that I have had tears in my eyes EVERY episode EVERY time! Such an emotional ride to be immersed in! Praise God for blessing us with this journey, and blessing me with the opportunity to witness it. Th Chosen has brought to life right from the pages of the greatest Book ever written!

This shiw aingle handedly brought me back to my Catholic faith. I bought a bible, am doing Bible in a year, started going to mass. I love Jesus i am understanding Jesus, i have changed for the better!
Pay close attention to when Jesus says to Nicodemus you must be born again to see the kingdom of God. Say the sinners prayer. Dear Jesus, I'm a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sins come into my life and live. And when I die, I ask you for a home in Heaven. In Jesus' name, I pray amen.

When they torture and execute Jesus in that show …. Those emotions you feel in that moment … remember your sins are what put him there. When you accept the remorse for your role in the death of Jesus it will bring you to tears every time you have communion and ask for his mercy

For 12 years of my life, I went to Catholic school. First class was religion. Was baptized as a Roman Catholic. Watching The Chosen has open my eyes, mind and heart for the first time in a long time. I feel different in a good way. Thank you.
I was raised Southern Baptist. Taught the Bible all my life. But the Chosen has drawn me closer to Jesus than all of that
I also went through the Catholic 12- a cradle Catholic. I have never known Jesus like I know him now. I’ve watched The Chosen 5 times through now. I try to imagine myself in their shoes not knowing what is to occur. I see something new every time. And I cry because I do know. If Jonathan Roumie is never able to play any other character as an actor he needs to understand that this is what he was born to do, bring people all over the world to Jesus. He has done it masterfully led by his faith to strengthen ours.
The Lord clearly works through Jonathan's performance. Experiencing the passion through The Chosen is going to be gut wrenching, especially knowing these characters for years and also watching Jonathan's journey. He has obviously gone deeper and deeper with Christ as the seasons pass. So powerful on screen and off in his evangelization.
I grew up catholic but never took time to read the Bible. The Chosen has made me want to read the Bible and really understand. While the Chosen has taken some artistic liberties,
It brought Jesus to life as a person and made many of us now lean into our faith!
I pray that my son is guided to watch the Chosen to reignite his faith! 🙏❤️🙏

I have been a Christian for 40 years. For all of those 40 years I have been praying for a revival. I have thought a revival will look different than past revivals. Perhaps THE CHOSEN is what the long awaited revival will look like.
3:32 “I like this guy, I don’t want him to end up on the cross”. Such a great point. For so many, including myself many tears ago, Jesus is not easy to humanize. But he was a man who lived in our world. And, most importantly, he had been a beautiful baby to his mother, who is the only one who saw him as a baby and on the cross. God bless you guys. 🙏🏻

I've read the New Testament over and over again. Through my fault, I would picture Jesus as being stern and serious all the time. The Chosen has made me realize that Jesus did laugh, He did sing and have a good time with his friends. Thank you for opening my eyes about Jesus a little bit to see His human side a little more.

Even though it wasn’t The Chosen, it was surprisingly hard to watch.
The Passion of the Christ was very hard to watch when they were beating him

The way that Jonathan plays the role of Jesus its amazing, I know that Jesus must have send him and the creators wisdom and inspire him thru the Holy Spirit..
I have the highest respect for Johnathan Roumie and his approach to playing Jesus. He really gives all credit to God, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit for using him and his talent to get this portrayal of Jesus as genuine as possible. I have been a Christian for over 46 years and this has been the best tool to get people to talk about JESUS and then watch the Chosen and I am hoping people come to the LORD through it. I have even had atheist say maybe I will check it out so its great.
He is such a genuinely nice guy and an incredible actor. Perfectly 'chosen' to play Our Lord.😊😊😊
This actor demonstrates so much genuine, humility, and grace and thoughtful response; and this interviewer has such a wonderful style and they don’t interrupt one another. You can actually appreciate each side of the conversation. Thank you. That said, my goodness gracious Almighty God thank you for what you have put into the entire writing, directing production and cast of the chosen to help bring us on earth as close as possible to You, in as many mediums as possible. ☦️🙏 I think you in Jesus precious name amen.
Its going to be extremely moving for Jonathan to go through the anxiety of approaching the cross during filming. Not to compare the challenges of his life to the sufferings of Christ, but I think this will greatly benefit both Jonathan and the audience in a spiritual way.

The Chosen has shattered everything that was taught to me my whole life. Fear God. I’ve fallen in love with Jesus and The Father. I’m no longer afraid.
I heard this from a radio preacher and had a study on the “fear of God”. Fear in God means to reverence to God, not the same as fear man which means beware.
That is how it feels to trust and know God..... you are no longer afraid. How wonderful for you!
I think that the chosen has given a lot of people a door into the Gospels and into Jesus. I am very happy that in 2024 something like this exists. I am also very happy that Jonathan did such a good job at the role in the show.

Getting to see Jesus and the disciples with such personal humanity... has brought me to reflect so much on myself and the choices that I have made and why I made them. I am blessed that the Lord has opened my eyes, and I will not look back. (And of course, I see the actors' faces now whenever I am reading the New Testament. Haha) Jonathan Roumie has quickly become my favorite actor since I've seen "The Chosen" and "Jesus Revolution". His talent and obedience are unmatched.

The fact that Jesus went through torture , to the point that his own mom couldn't recognize him. Pierced and hung up on a cross for me . Beat the grave and promises to meet me in the sky. Blows my mind . He still loves me, enough to forgive me of my sin .save me and give me a home in Heaven. Wow. One day, my faith will be sight. Still is mind-blowing.

I doubt he will see this, but Jonathan buddy, the fact you take this so so so seriously is a testament to why i feel you do fantastic in the role and the truth is you seems to do that with any role you are in (referencing the part he player as lonnie frisbee) a solid actor and a solid guy. I watched the Passion in a cinema when it first came out, and I couldn't believe that the woman sitting next to me crunched popcorn most of the way through. Then after she finished that she sniffed the rest of the time. ( Not crying because of the sadness, but just a sniff every couple of minutes). How can anyone go to see a film that is so precious and eat popcorn?
I've only seen it twice (once on my laptop so I could pause it when it got too intense). My heart was in my throat the entire time. 😢
Myself and husband really enjoyed watching the series at a local church nearby us it was so moving plus informative learnt a lot plus yes my love for Jesus increased
The Chosen shows the humanity of Jesus and how approachable he is. It makes me really happy and gives me joy.
I'm thoroughly looking forward to watching season 5 of The Chosen.
Always believed in God, but that was it. No prayers, no repentance. Now, after watching the show, halfway through the New Testament. I prayed every evening, repented my sins, and for the first time in a long time, I feel more at peace rather than the chaos of depression, anxiety and bitterness.
This show was the singular reason why I have become a dedicated christian and now have a peace that was invisible to me before. Thank you to the creators, the writers and above all the actors that portrayed the life story and teachings of Jesus in such a way, I returned to God.

I'm happy to see you doing this showing the humanness of who Jesus was and is. Every one wants to portray Him as somber, matter of fact and leave the human out of it. I learned back in the 70's that is not who He was. He was human, told jokes, cut up, had fun, enjoyed life, enjoyed the people He was with. Enjoy the journey, it doesn't end with the crucifixion. There is more to come. God doesn't close one door with out opening another. Also Thank You, I've enjoyed the "The Chosen".
