    I did it yesterday, and what a difference. There was no snow, and smoky. The crux was the parking lot. There at 8:30AM, and got the second last parking spot. Total ascent time was 6:05, and descent was 4:10. You were faster up, than my descent. Crazy. Great video.

      ... I think when I did it I got the last spot in the parking lot. A small lot for such a popular hike. Sometimes I'm faster than others. All depends on the day and how I feel. The day I went I felt really good. Cheers!

    One of the hardest yet most rewarding hikes ive done. Wear boots, bring food, and tons of water.

    Last year we made it up to the first lake and it was Gorgeous. We have just done Sentinel pass today for the first time and there was still lots of snow. Had to hike Through around 400m worth of snow. Still nice!

      ... That's crazy that Sentinel Pass still has lots of snow. Temple may not even be able to be climbed safely thus year.

      @@HarlanFox--Scrambles Yeah, the Entire second Clift band was cover in snow and was Barely Visible. I think you could still do Temple with little to no snow but you would have to wait at less until mid August for it to be safe.

    Gorgeous trail! With so much beauty nature provides, I have a hard time
    wondering why anyone would want to do anything else with their free time. Simply gorgeous scenery.

    Great timing and vdo. a group of friends will be hiking this on Friday. Did you carry all your water or did you refill at the lakes?

      Thanks Jim! I actually packed 2L of H2O and an energy drink. Didn't refill as it lasted me all day, barely. Have fun!

    Would you say Harvey Pass is ok for dogs who hike often?

    • @HarlanFox--Scrambles
      @HarlanFox--Scrambles  Před 2 lety +1

      I would say you would be fine if your dog can handle longer distances. I'm guessing its around 9kms to the pass. It's a long distance but there are not many hazards to speak of. Lots of water and no scrambling.

      @@HarlanFox--Scrambles oh yes!! They have done the iceline trail and Healy pass.. those are the longest so far! Hoping to add Harvey to the list :) Thanks!
