📌Hey all, it's Brandon! Don't hesitate to schedule a chat with us at brandongaron.com if you are looking for more info about the area!
Thank you for the video. Very thorough.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽✌🏽
Nice to know VA Hospital is there near Ft.Jackson.
Do you live around the area? 🤔
Thx for the info
No problem!
Lived in Sumter County most of my life and been all over SC. Lexington was the only decent place worth living. Crime everywhere in SC is up dramatically. Overall I don't recommend unless it's to one of the military bases like Jackson or Shaw.
Unfortunately crime is up nation wide, since pre pandemic, (year over year stats fluctuate.) Of course SC is not exceptions to that.
Relocating to Lexington in a few months, could you possibly do a drive through of the Crystal Springs Lake community?
Thank you for watching!🙌🙌🙌
Brandon, we will be relocating to the Columbia area in about 2 years. However, we’ll be visiting in January, 2024. My question is, where can we get a directory of all the things to do, best areas to live for affordability, great restaurants etc. it’s just me and my wife and we are GenX and not millennials. I mention that because we are done with all the nightlife stuff lol.
Anyway- where could I get brochures and reading materials?
Thanks in advance, Brandon!
Hey, you can check out my relocation guide at relocatetosouthcarolina.com it dives into some of this.
As well, check out some of my other videos that tackle this, as well.
This should give you a good basis to start.
Outside of that we can set up a call and I can see if I can help some more.
@@brandongaronteam that sounds great!
@@FrankRizzo7080Lexington, and Chapin are nice 👍 places to live. The Vista is also a nice hangout spot.
Also Benedict College
Correct! I may have missed it in this video but in one of my driving tours I talked about Allen and Benedict and drove by where they are.
Gonna be looking to relocate from NH to SC in the next few months and was considering the Lexington area, and just had a few questions. I’m a automotive mechanic, and I’m curious about how the industry is doing down there. Also, how’s the night life, and is it a safe area?
If you're a mechanic, you'll be in good 👍 shape! Lexington is a VERY safe area. Chapin is nice as well. And as far as hangout spots, the Vista is pretty much it! But if you like to fish 🐟, Lake Murray is the spot! If you plan on moving to Lexington, you're ONLY a short drive away.
Great points!!
Yes, it seems an oil change or car repair place pops up daily!
Agree, we only really hang out in the Main Street district and vista. Five points tends to be college and military kids.
Hi interested in moving to Columbia or surrounding area..Im a veteran and Im looking to use my VA with a first time homebuyer program..any recommendations thats affordable..4 bed 3 bath or 2.5 near schools and military facilities..Thank you

Is there nursing home/rehab facility/skilled facility in the area besides those hospitals that u mention?
Absolutely. There are quite a few scattered around the entire area.
I'm interested in a nice small town but easy access to get to the lake but more so a beach? Can you tell me which town would give me those perks? I'm looking for a rental at first but would be looking for a small sf home? Thank you in advance. I'm moving from Buffalo NY.
Around us Chapin and Lexington match that. We are about 2 hours from the beach.
As far as other areas in the state, I don’t have the answer, as I’m in the midlands and not too familiar with the other lakes.
I'm so sorry. I'm looking in Chapin area. It's it close to a beach in Murray lake? That's what I meant. Lol
The only “beach” on Lake Murray is at the dam in Lexington. There is a public access in Chapin, boat launch, but I wouldn’t call it a beach.
I am relocating to Columbia SC in a few weeks. I’m looking to rent a house or apartment. Do you help with rentals?
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately we do not have a rental division.
Would you be able to tell me if the kingswood subdivision of columbia is a bad or decent neighborhood for elderly couple with no kids?
That’s always tough to answer, as it’s such personal perspective of what people consider good bad or descent. For instance, I’ve showed buyers homes over where I live and some have they said they would not live here, yet we’ve been in our neighborhood 8 years. As well, I’ve never personally lived in that neighborhood, so it would all be speculation. With that said, I personally haven’t had any clients buy in there either, so I can’t say from their perspective either. I always recommend researching crime stats and talking to neighbors, to get the best perspective. The people in the neighborhood will know the best.
@@brandongaronteam Thank you so much for you reply and suggestions
